New blog post: A high sensitivity ADS-B receiver. I present a new ADS-B receiver written in Rust that outperforms existing open source receivers such as readsb: ~3x more messages in typical real world terrestrial scenarios and ~2000x more in simulated LEO scenarios.

🛰️OSCAR - Orbiting Satellite Carrying Amateur Radio🛰️ Our PocketQube ERMINAZ-2U is now officially AMSAT-OSCAR 129 (AO-129) and ERMINAZ-2V is AMSAT-OSCAR 130 (AO-130)! 💫🏆 #AMSAT #hamradio

JAXA #MMX now with higher data rate.. 📡📶

AMSAT-DL@amsat-dl.org

JAXA MMX (Martian Moons eXploration) is alive and transmitting strong downlink signals on X band.. 📡Congratulations!

During the pass 2026-10-11 20:19:06 to 2026-10-11 20:30:16 we have successfully commanded ERMINAZ-2 and set the telemetry repetition rate to 8 seconds. The CW beacon repeats every 96 seconds now. 73 de ERMINAZ Team Patrick DL4PD, Tilman DG2TG, Peter DB2OS

missed the designation.. should be indeed ERMINAZ-2U. Tomorrow we will focus on ERMINAZ-2V. No signals have been detected from -2X so far, it's status is currently unknown.

1/ CelesTrak is offline again as we work to send another 4,500+ IPs using code with HTTP_USER_AGENT: Deno/2.1.4 (variant; SupabaseEdgeRuntime/1.74.3) to the firewall.

*WE NEED YOUR HELP* to find whoever wrote this code and get them to turn it off or CelesTrak will continue to be unusable.

Quick tech breakdown for the ERMINAZ mission: The satellites use SSDV to split JPEG images into robust packets. These are embedded directly into standardized CCSDS Transfer Frames using Virtual Channel ID 4 (VCID 4) for seamless decoding on Earth. Open Source! 🛸📡 #PocketQube #CubeSat #AMSAT

It's official now! Our three ERMINAZ-2U, -2V and -2X PocketQubes are set for launch 18:18 UTC (20:18 CEST) on October 01 with Transporter-18! #AMSAT #hamradio

New blog post: Decoding the Roman Space Telescope. On August 31 I observed the Roman telescope S-band telemetry with the Allen Telescope Array some time after launch. This post is a summary of the observation, including the telemetry decode and a preliminary analysis.

The moment when #BepiColombo separated and signal disappeared on purpose at the exact time.

ESA Operations@operations.esa.int

The #BepiColombo Mission Control Team is now checking the final telemetry received from the spacecraft during execution of MTM separation. ☑️ @esa.int #JAXA #Mercury

🚀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻. UARX just announced that OSSIE is now integrated into the SpaceX Transporter-18 launch vehicle. Currently awaiting launch date announcement. Our #AMSAT ERMINAZ-2 PocketQubes are flying with OSSIE-D. #hamradio

#RST now ~ 1.5 Msym/s, 780 kb/s data rate according to DSN, likely <7,2> convolutional encoding, classic BPSK.

#BepiColombo came back a bit earlier than expected at 13:48:40 UTC - exciting!!

ESA Operations@operations.esa.int

ACQUISITION OF SIGNAL CONFIRMED! 🎉🛰️ #BepiColombo telemetry shows the Mercury Transfer Module has successfully separated from the spacecraft stack! ✅ First step of Mercury arrival phase - complete! 👏 Next stop: Mercury orbit insertion for MPO and Mio in November! @esa.int #JAXA #Mercury

Indeed we are also watching #BepiColombo from Bochum Observatory with our 20m dish. Weather conditions in Bochum not very favorable at the moment.... it takes 11.5 minutes until signal arrives from 207 Million kilometers at Earth!

Success! Roman Space Telescope performed a planned mid-course correction burn and is on track to orbit around the second Lagrange point. 🧭🎯 #RST
