Bloody hell that a dismal graph And the tories are the party of the economy don’t forget

Andrew Levi@andrewprlevi.bsky.social

So much Brexitist nonsense. The truth: (1) the UK was badly hit by the 2016 referendum - which generated political chaos and high levels of risk - sharply diverging from high income countries/ EU (2) a huge and increasing gap opened up after leaving the single market and customs union Go figure.

May I counter with All Fun and Games Until Somebody Loses An Eye. All the Beauty and the Beast easter eggs are just a bonus!

I totally agree, sad when political satire has fallen so low

Sir Michael Take CBE@sirmichaeltake.bsky.social

To insult two highly respected and free thinking politicians like this is disgraceful. It just shows how far standards in society have fallen. Anyone reposting this insulting photograph should feel utterly ashamed. 😡

Brilliant read on migrating testicles

Nome@nome.bsky.social

I have been doing entirely too much earnest posting about deep things recently, I need to do a proper thread about hippo testicles or something just to keep myself sane. Oh by the way hippos have migratory testicles.

I never understood this - if the US had allowed all the countries with F16's to give them to Ukraine they could have sold them all F35's Same with Abrams, Bradleys and M113's Think of the money Boing is now going to lose to Eurofighter, Griffin, France, South Korea (do they have a fighter?), etc

Did the USA lie?

CALL TO ACTIVISM@calltoactivism.bsky.social

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell. This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

This is so sad how fast lives are being destroyed

Senator Patty Murray@murray.senate.gov

Gregg is a former Marine and Forest Service ranger. He's saved the lives of hikers dangling off a cliff or going through cardiac arrest, and he's bravely fought forest fires to save small rural towns. 100% of his salary is paid by WA state. Elon fired him. Share his story.

Not sure which is the Tesla one 🤔

Ro Salarian@rosalarian.bsky.social

In my city there is one cybertruck and one DIY parody of a cybertruck and the parody truck has become a local celebrity. Meanwhile, I always wish I had some rotten eggs to throw at the tesla whenever I see it.

Ah, Daniel Hannah, reliably wrong

Jacob Öberg@profjacob.bsky.social

🚨🚨 So five years since #brexit and I think it is time reshare Daniel Hannan's absolutely insane and delusional vision of grandeur and hubris that characterised the true engineers and believers of #brexit. Here comes the #brexit insanity No 1 🧵 www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p...

Very true

Harry Eccles@harryeccles.bsky.social

I seem to have upset the Nigel Farage fan club - so let me be clear. This man sows hate, lies and division. He is a grifter and a conman. He does not represent the vast majority of Britons. Repost if you agree P.s. multiculturalism is great.

With the damage its doing, any pressure will help

Maybe you think 'it will take decades' or 'they won't want us back' or 'petitions don't work', but if you believe deep down that our future lies within our closest trading block why not sign this anyway! You never know. If you don't ask you don't get. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

Exactly, we struggle with leaves on the line and a heavy frost What the hell we would do in actual severe weather I have no idea

We can in most civilised countries, they also allow you to use the little tab that means you don't have to hold it all the time Why the UK doesnt do this I have no idea

Simon Pegg@simonpegg.bsky.social

We live in a supposed technologically advanced world, so why can't we 'program in' the exact amount we want to spend at the petrol pump before delivery starts, to ensure it doesn't go over that amount? Note. This is idle musing. I do this a lot. It doesn't necessarily mean I want actual answers.

First picture that blew me away - had the CD at 15ish and then saw the painting in the Louvre about 3 years later Huge piece and was left stunned when I saw it

I have finally deleted the Twitter app from my phone and closed the tab on chrome Only a couple of people I miss from the bird but Im sure they will move soon We still need more big media companies (BBC, etc) to move

Immensely powerful symbol of the sacrifice the war - 50,000 men who's final resting place was never identified

Peter Doyle@profpeterdoyle.bsky.social

The Menin Gate. Through a simple gap in the ancient fortifications of Ypres passed many thousands of men who would not return. They would not be found: ‘missing, believed killed’. Glance up at its panels as you pass through, for ‘They are not missing, they are here’
