Last month we lost our jobs. This month we made new ones. Introducing X BUTTON: an independent gaming network from three ex-IGN employees. A new weekly Nintendo podcast! A new weekly video game podcast! And that’s just the start, but we can’t do it without your help! www.patreon.com/cw/XButtonShow

Do I happen to know anyone (managers are fair game too) here who specializes in content around Mods, Game Development, and level creation in games like: Minecraft Roblox Bethesda Titles Fortnite Levels Battlefield Portal Preferably creators who build or feature levels daily/weekly.

For Creators tuning into the Sony State of Play (9/3/26) who are looking for info on how to get in touch with these devs and publishers, I am going to have a compiled list of contacts and links for the games announced or updated.

You've never played a deckbuilder like Shroom and Gloom. You've never played a dungeon crawler like Shroom and Gloom. You've never played anything like Shroom and Gloom. Out September 10.

I grew up packing my own lunch since the 3rd grade. I didn’t grow up with notes in my bag or excitement about what was waiting for me. Now, as the dad who’s handling the “lunch ceremony" I am starting to use that to get them to try new foods. Does anyone else have memories of these early years?

The more I played the MW4 Beta, the more I recognized these insights into my play preferences. 1) It really is my favorite competitive FPS 2) I need to be playing in hardcore I realize that COD satisfies my gripes with many modern shooters: Very little downtime, and non-committal progression

Watching my daughter's reaction to Kingdom hearts is literally bringing a tear to my eye. I wondered what she might think of the franchise and I've been waiting till she could read a little better and now I recognize this is going to be one hell of a ride for her.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth. I tried, I reaaaallly tried but the game just stops me from playing way too much to enjoy.

No hate, no dogpiling, just curious. For me, it's Skyrim. Don't know why, considering it should be exactly my kind of game, but it just didn't click for me.

The kids have their own playroom, their own bedrooms, the entire living room, the yard, the bouncy house castle, the dining room that we converted to just art and no screens and somehow they are all in my office literally right next to me as I try to play Doom 😂

Hi. I am aware of a developer looking for creators and streamers who enjoy roguelite deckbuilders and narrative/novel based games. Nothing too crazy is needed; just looking for a handraise or a tag for folks who are down for the genre.

EA's annual Ebitda is around $1.5 billion, which should be enough to service the interest payments. But the publisher has told debt investors that it will cut $700 million in annual costs including $170 million in "organizational efficiencies," per Bloomberg. In other words: mass layoffs

The rumored return of Myspace has me incredibly interested. "MY space" has a new meaning in this day in age. An area where an individual can share personal updates without chasing the algorithm, journaling, interest, art and expression could be displayed

For Content Creators and streamers: You should know that this year's GamesCom is going to be a big one, and you may be planning some content around it. In some cases, you may already be working with devs and publishers at or online during the event.

3) Making content around what excites you/what you are interested in matters. This is the best way for the agencies and managers who are trying to get in touch with you. This is the difference of getting early access to the game or the chance to speak with devs, or exclusive and sponsored content.

1) Co-Streaming ONL, or making reaction, news, or interest videos both short and long form, is well worth your time. It's going to give the brands, devs, and publishers a signal that you're interested. Plus, it gives you a beat on what's coming up so you can schedule your content

Appreciate Asus coming in clutch with a solid, portable but surprisingly fast PC. I only had my gaming PC, so now having an on-the-go option really helps when getting out of the office and gets the creative juices going.

I read this trend as a signal. I don't really believe this is a player trend born of excitement. It reads as nostalgia trying to beat back the current day sociaital emotion. This feels like self-soothe during stress, combating loneliness, and finding emotional stability.

Circana Player Engagement Tracker - US Top 10 Titles by Weekly Active Users (Not Concurrent) - W/E Jul 18, 2026 - Call of Duty: Black Ops II ranked 1st on PlayStation... 3 Call of Duty products reached the PS top 10 - Palworld took top spot on Steam - PBA Pro Bowling 2026 from 790th LW to 19 on XBX

Right now Halo, Star Fox, Black Flag, Avatar TLA, are top of the conversation and soon the OOT remake will be. There's nothing wrong with this but, when you see how much is focused on content 10-25 years old, you can make a fair statement that we're not actually ok. (And why should we be);

Gave this a go on 3 runs. I gotta say...good start but also good that this is experimental. There are other games that do this dungeon type mode far better. It's hard, but exciting. That is due to the world of Marathon and the lore, but ultimately you are still shooting robots with little control

Vault Breaker is Marathon's first experimental PvE mode, set in Cryo Archive. Play as a crew, duo, or solo—no enemy players. Power up across runs with roguelite progression to overcome UESC hordes, vault security measures.... and even the Compiler. Available July 21 - August 4 youtu.be/ec5bLvYiWZo
