"Thank you... just make sure the onions don't get TOO much water and the curtains are open to give them direct sunlight, and the broombush can sit a few days without being harvested so long as it isn't going to seed, but the mirror apples will fall and spoil if they're left too long,

#wolqotd #wolquestion Your wol is on mandatory bed rest for an undetermined amount of time They tell your wol their gardens will be watered and their home won't get demolished while they're away, so all they need to do is lie down and rest How is your wol handling this

... and if you could just check the kukuru vines for signs of root rot; the shroud tea is just for tanning, don't worry too much about it, but the Coerthan tea's more delicate, and--" (Urianger is bringing her tea in bed and urging her to rest and stop worrying. It's not working.)

While this isn't unique to XIV fandom by any means, I can't help noticing a higher-than-average number of people trying to monetize this fandom than others I've been in. Pay for game mods! Join this patreon! Buy this merch!

So perhaps it is a good wake-up call when, for example, someone monetizing a fancomic accidentally lets slip their contempt for a large portion of the fandom and their own followers, or a dev lets it slip that their overly-sanitized rp platform was made with professional aspirations.

i'm just tired. i'm tired of people using ao3 as a way to get published. i'm tired of people using ai to make things to get numbers and likes. i'm tired of people sanitizing spaces to commodify the hobby in a way that only benefits one person. i'm tired of the capitalization of fandom spaces.

#wolqotd In recent patches there’s been talk of the WoL and ambition. Is your WoL/OC the ambitious sort? Do they have a goal that involves just themselves and maybe a couple of others? Are they simply trying to survive?

shipping a wol with minfilia must be so sad and tragic and the kind of doomed that is beyond where love might reach but nonetheless was worth trying, for the humanity of it all, even if it is brutality stripped from both of your bodies, and also you have to deal with thancred being there

None of the fan wikis seem to have this dialogue tree transcribed and it's SO good. A treasure trove.

urianger has a TON of dialogue options post 3.4! these player prompt corresponds to each image respectively. 1. "How fares the realm?" 2. "We can but carry on." 3. "It must have been difficult for you to deceive Alisaie." 4. "About those clothes you were wearing..."

"We shouldn't ruin a person's life over one mistake" okay, not entirely invalid sentiment in and of itself. I would like to see this practiced so ardently when a trans woman says something stupid online.

I so vividly remember the joy of exploring random hand-coded personal websites, hopping from one to the next via webrings and link lists.

we fucking loved it, even when there was basically nothing on it, and let me tell you something else: we loved it because of human connection, human diversity, human creativity. WE DON'T NEED A SINGLE THING ANY OF THESE COMEMIERDAS HAVE MADE AND TRIED TO SELL US IN ORDER TO HAVE A GREAT INTERNET.

XIV fan who hasn't replayed ARR in years and only kind of remembers it: actually the Scions are the real villains for keeping some aspects of their secret society under wraps from a new recruit, and not telling me things no one knew at the time.

Guys, don't subscribe to block lists. Please just use your own brains and judgement, I am begging you. When you sub to them, you are placing immense power in a (frequently anonymous!) person to quietly censor whoever they like, without any reason required.
