I am constantly seeing, reading, watching and doing too many things at the same time, and also not nearly doing enough and aware of so many more things I could and should and want to be doing all the time

I finally had some time to vibe code something! Travel through all of human history, and see human civilization emerge by simply scrolling. Nice little collab between Claude and myself, with data from the Hammond Graphic History of Mankind. Try it yourself here: studioanrk.com/work/empires/

These times are so dark its just.. Meanwhile, autumn has arrived in a blaze of orange tinged leaves outside my window. Children passing by on bikes.. 🍂

If you are semi tech-literate remember that it is your responsibility to tell elderly family members about how phishing and hacking is quickly evolving and how they can protect themselves.

Not that it bothers me all that much but I generally get zero engagement on here. Some posts get a like or two from the same friendly folks. Most go empty. I post because I feel I need to get stuff out of my head but I do miss the old twitter, which felt so much more alive to me.

It makes sense that if god(s) are real to you, you'd think that your inner thoughts might not be your own, which is downstream from the idea that god knows all. Fascinating to think about how much our sense of self, the autonomy of our mind, has become something we take for granted.

I think an interesting point about the Meta VR Glasses vs Snap Specs is that having no puck is a huge win and incredibly impressive. But was a very risky move by Snap. People will judge the device by the formfactor and how it looks on your face, until they own it and the puck is like a deadweight.

Yes and if you look deeper into ancient Greek or Roman myths, these deities were much closer to us and not so distant as the jewish-christian one. They mingled with mortals and produced demigod offspring. Christianity had Nephilim but that was I believe suppressed later or at least not talked about.

I personally like this because it gives me the chance to reconsider if I need each individual app/service or if I can do without. I tend to delete a few each time.

What if you can translate any object around you wherever you are? Lisso is a way to either get help while travelling or learn a language before you go.

One of the many things about new tech launches that makes me uncomfortable is that probably the vast majority of enthusiastic posts about that tech's abilities or comfort or how impressive it is, comes from paid influencers who were flown out to fawn over said tech.

A past time of mine used to be to take photos of ordinary hanging lights, with the camera pointing upwards. Haven’t done this in years but this plain plastic sixties style lamp caught my eye.

Lisso is optimised for IOS27 and uses Apple Cloud Compute Running on TestFlight for now, as I try it out over the next week before we launch. But Lisso will be out on the app store soon! We have lots of fun ideas around gamification and smartglasses we're working on. More soon! ohi.studio/lisso

Some older work. Made with Nexus Studios and The Egyptian Museum. This statue depicts the god Amun and his wife, the goddess Mut. The original sculpture is heavily damaged, an incredible privilege to work with the museum experts, and fab work by our team. More here nexusstudios.com/work/egyptia...

Much of modern day life consists of hunting for covert features on your devices that you didn't ask for, and don't need, nor want, but which harvest your location, voice, health and all kinds of other data and suck everything up to the cloud or to be used for training data.

Thinking about this quote by architect Christopher Alexander, on standards. When we can make anything, try anything, start something new anytime we like, how do we engage deeply with our work, and the purpose of that work? How do we remain focused on a longer term goal?
