Farmers have gotten an astronomical $43 billion in WELFARE from the Trump administration. Trump’s tariff policy in the first term put them on welfare, they voted for him in 2024, and they’re back on welfare. While 14 million children in America go hungry and SNAP benefits are cut.

farmers will vote for trump again and out of the other side of their month will complain about socialism. Embarrassing for farmers that they can’t maintain their businesses without massive socialism

It's Republican policy that has broken them, thus repetitive bailouts; its how farms function, unfortunately. This must change! Spent my teens on my uncle's farm 1963-1967, family foster. I remember my uncle telling my aunt he borrowed $17K one season just for fertilizer ... collateral? His farm.

Trump wants farmers to vote for him so he can slowly decimate America's entire agricultural system so that we must rely on his good graces for sustenance. He throws them money, so they'll vote for his choice candidates who will allow him to make decisions that will eventually destroy them.

So we are paying them off for voting trump? I would rather have my tax dollars support helpless children than people that voted for their own demise 3x. 🙄🤒

Ah, the classic "Ideological Buffet": where you treat the free market as a law of nature until the bill arrives, then suddenly discover a passion for the collective.

Just think the American ppl were pro family farm less than a decade. Now, they are probably polling neck and neck with Israel.

Major Major's father was a sober God-fearing man whose idea of a good joke was to lie about his age. He was a long-limbed farmer, a God-fearing, freedom-loving, law-abiding rugged individualist who held that federal aid to anyone but farmers was creeping socialism.

This doesn't get anywhere near enough attention. The average farmer is wealthier than the average American. So its redistribution the Republcan way, from the bottom 50% to top 50%.

This is the second time Trump has had to use our tax dollars to bail out farmers. Tens of billions are being spent needlessly by Trump, and still no money for Social Security or healthcare.

Trump supporting farmers love their socialized welfare checks, they can sit at local diners Sunday mornings with their 40k pickup trucks and whine in front of cameras about how brown folks, gays, muslim commie socialist hari krishnas are impeding on their Christian freedums.

Midwest farmland sells for up to 16000 per acre. Take that ×500 acres. I've said multiple times. Most farmers are multi millionaires. They don't need bailouts. Many don't have livestock. There working year is approx 10 weeks

Most farms are inherited. You can't afford to just decide to be a farmer. Too expensive. The big farmers hold very little debt. Most machinery these days is leased. Which is 100% tax deductible. Plus when corn was 8 bushel few yrs ago they banked boatloads of cash

When i was working we never got subsides when our salary wasnt high enough! As much as i respect farmers why cant the govt alliw them to compete for what we eat!

Well, fully embrace conservative, right wing "socialism" of the sort practiced by the fascist Nazis as well. Basically markets, private enterprise, property, government by and for the establishment elite, but with a little something handed out to loyal supporters, jobs in the military, etc.

Frankly, farmers have done this for decades & they know it. They wouldn't survive without govt checks. They rarely pay income taxes no matter how much they make (cuz of farming accounting/banking rules). Yet, they'll complain louder than any group about their money going to the coasts.

Every time I hear an interview with some farmer or rancher saying "the American public needs us", I want yell, "No dude. We really don't!!"

Well, they need the food. But the hypocrisy of not recognizing that so much of blue state/Coast state taxes pay for much of farmer livelihood. & GOP is horrible for farmer capitalism. Trump ruined trade.

I know one personally who is my elder who often commented that he paid enough taxes to cover at least 5 black families in Harlem during his life. Not realizing the hypocrisy. I know that farmer got govt payments regularly. It really hurt cuz he was a family member & someone I cared about otherwise

Thanks 4 sharing that. What many people who say things like that fail 2 realize/contemplate is that black families/individuals pay taxes 2. What’s so ❤️ breaking is that even after paying local, state & fed taxes, black neighborhoods are still under-resourced. Their 💵 subsidize other areas/places.

I have been driving the same 1981 utility truck for about 40 yrs now. I bought it at an auction for $2600. I see videos of farmers whining about how hard it is to make it, and they are standing next to newer $50K trucks, and have millions of dollars worth of equipt. in the background.

I grew up on a farm. Its not an easy life. So I've always respected those who, unlike myself, have made it their life. But the Trump Administration is giving farmers a bad name...those who haven't already gone bankrupt.

It's been like this since the Farm Bill came into being. The Farm Bill is one of the most corrupt, corrupting, and purely socialist pieces of legislation in the US. Hell, the thing pays farmers to NOT farm with the "conservation reserve program." You and I pay my Dad just to own land.

#Husker #Farmers , u think u aren't on WELFARE? you are. Always have been. And unlike your voting pattern, Democrats are ok with it, and your valuable service. But #NEGOP convinced u that you are different from a single mother in one of our bigger cities. You are. YOU TAKE MORE, FOR LONGER.

It doesn't come close to the loses that his policies have caused the farmers to suffer. Loss of international markets, labor loss because of ICE and massive increase in production cost have put farmer in a critical position. Thousands of farmer will go out of business this year.

They're always happy to heap culture war crap on New York and California, then demand they fund their bailouts. Time for the Electoral College to go...

Is anyone tracking which farmers are receiving those bailouts? Are small family farms getting the same percentages as the big corporate farms?

Somehow, offering more cash to compensate for bad policies, instead of correcting the bad policy causing the problem is resonating with these low-information voters. I’m seeing the same strategy being used in most all local down ballot races regarding lowering taxes “to put more 💰 in your pocket”

Call it what it is, Socialism and Buying Votes of the very people whose lives he’s destroying! My extended family is full of farmers. Most have been forced to sell their farms to Corporations who then employ them for minimal money to farm the land they once owned. A vote for Trump kills Farms!

And the bulk of the $$ doesn’t go to family farmers but to corporate farmers who couldv’e better managed the high prices.

It's called farmerism, or onlymeism, that leads to voting for a fool like Trump and screwing yourself and the rest of us.

I watched a video of a Latino construction owner that said Biden didn't give him enough when he was president, although he was doing well, and Trump took far more as President...excuse me while I try to understand the logic of why he keeps voting republican.

But...but....that's different. We're farmers. It's NOT welfare....it's a subsidy. It's not socialism..it's 'fixing' their problem. We DESERVE this money. We're picked on. We're not treated fairly. We're farmers.

All because of his foul policies. But why change tariffs or end a useless war when Trump can steal tax payer money to bail out his mistakes? Again. And the farms collecting are the largest & wealthiest operations, not smaller family farms in need. But they will vote his way, no matter what.

Socialist farmers accept federal subsidies again, it is amazing how much they love big government. They’ll never stop licking tRUMP’s orange balls.

Farmers vote for republicans because they think socialism is scary, then become the welfare queens they loathe because every time Trump and his horrible ideas like tariffs threaten to bankrupt farms the American taxpayers have to bail them out. Trump is destroying our food security intentionally 👀

I think farmers should have socialism. They have an uncontrollable factor. The weather. We should support them They should not be going bankrupt for a corporation to take them over. They should not be committing suicide at a higher rate than normal. This is a solvable issue.

So... once again people that actually pay taxes (non-farmers and non-billionaires) have to bail out farmers due to #Trump'sTariffFollies... and #Trump'sDumbassIranWar (with a silent B dumbass)... while paying #Trump'sOutrageousPrices...

Trump's announcing new deals in states with tight races like PR bribes. The "Taiwan will buy #Alaskan pipeline oil for twenty years." Then $15 billion for foreign country to buy a steel mill in #Iowa. Now it's a business deal in #Georgia for Audi to build a $4 billion dollar factory. #Seethepattern

The federal government has put price supports under agricultural products since 1929. Farmers have been sucking at the government tit for nearly a century. After four generations of dependency, they're not about to be weaned.

American farmers are the biggest welfare recipients in Americans history. No wonder they vote trump, they can go bankrupt get rid of all their bills and get millions from republicans, then sit there eating steak and doing nothing or go on vacation on American tax payers dime!

How do we keep having billions for everything but healthcare and food assistance? It’s almost like poor people don’t matter even though they’re doing jobs no one else wants 🤔

All while garnishing wages of those struggling with student loans. May he rot in piss along with every one of his enablers. 😡

The only people who get any type of real government socialism over minimum social safety nets are the people who fully disparage it - retired boomers, trillionaire CEOs, rural farmers. So that’s fun.

What they don’t point out is that small farmers and small farm families don’t get enough money to prevent bankruptcy. The big corporate farms and big family farms soak up most of the “relief” money.

The last trade war came with a bill too. GAO found the Farm Service Agency paid out about $23 billion through the two Market Facilitation Programs of 2018 and 2019, the bailout created to cover farmers' losses. Taxpayers footed it.

and not likely much for the smaller farming operations. most of that has probably been scooped up by the massive farming corporations if the pattern of his relief payments holds its pattern

Farmers have been wedded to government subsidies for generations. At the same time, they maintain a belief that they’re rugged individuals who are somehow the most “real” part of the country. The sad reality is that cant be convinced that they’ve literally cut their own throats, even as they bleed.

They cried like babies and slammed Trump in interviews. But now? They will refuse to call it what it is and Trump will be their hero.

US #Farmers are still Free and fully entitled to vote for whomever they choose. Even after taking the $43bn #bribe. They owe Trump Absolutely Nothing.
