Rare is big into cheeky branding! It was likely viewed as cute to give Diddy and Dixie matching Nintendo and Rare logos to celebrate that partnership. (Diddy's clothing went unadorned in 1994.) Nintendo stuck with it for lack of better options until finding a new way for their hats to match!

I know people are gonna kill me for saying this, but I honest to god prefer this over the actual Sonic movies we got, at the very least I prefer it over the first Sonic movie.

I genuinely don’t want to hear a single peep out of the people unironically complaining about the lack of 3D Mario. Forgotten Land and Metroid Dread are up there as some of the Switch 1’s best titles so them getting follow-ups on Switch 2 is excellent for Nintendo’s lineup. Please play more games.
