to me the existential threat posed by AI slop games is less "AI slop games will steal our sales" and more "the onslaught of AI slop and the exhaustion over having to second guess every new game will make people mentally check out from supporting new games at all and retreat to their backlogs"

It also feels like it would make more sense to see Kitty to be paired up with someone like Melody or Cinnamoroll. But those pairings would have way more aesthetic overlap than Kitty and Kuromi do, so for the sake of variety Kuromi is ultimately the better choice.

These two characters make sense as the two Sanrio representatives conceptually, but that doesn't make it feel right in practice. It's a weird situation.

Like, it makes sense that out of all Sanrio characters, they would prioritise adding those two. But it feels wrong seeing Kuromi paired with Kitty instead of My Melody, even though it obviously wouldn't make sense to add My Melody over Hello Kitty.

in regards to the deltarune smash talk i think utdr will have representation in a future smash game i do not think it will be a fighter because i have no idea how they would make that work. maybe ruins stage toby fox will be brought onto the smash bros music team for remixes.

it's just that you know how specific toby is about representations of the utdr cast in merch, crossovers and such and how sakurai is about capturing the essence of the character and their source material in their movesets
