The majority of people not being able to buy a house is the new normal. They want everyone renting. It’s the housing version of a monthly subscription

Max Scherzer going on short rest to catch Verlander's strikeout total -- and nearly damn well doing it -- is some all time inner circle king petty shit, and I mean that in the most complimentary way imaginable. You gotta tip your cap to a true psycho, and Max Scherzer is an all-time baseball psycho.

Not the first or the last time.

The State AGs were on pace to kill the Paramount/Warner Bros by litigation and delay until Gavin Newsom stepped in and turned the tide. Now the Trump loyalist Ellisons will control CNN and HBO. Don't ever, ever forget that Newsom stabbed us in the back www.wsj.com/business/med...

In Your House: Canadian Retaliation was a poorly-reviewed two-hour WWF pay-per-view event in 1996. No one needed 22 minutes of Jim Neidhart vs Savio Vega.

How advanced does AI have to get before it's capable of telling me about a SIG alert on the 5 issued an hour previous? Asking for several thousand people.

I can see a case for renting things like TVs and phones, combined with a service agreement and the prospect of upgrades. But that hasn’t happened. We now buy the tech (with built in controlled obsolescence) and rent the stuff that doesn’t need fixing or updating, like books, music and film.

The shift from 'owning things' to 'renting access to things' is the most boring dystopia. Nobody announced it. It just happened one Terms of Service update at a time.

When a federal agency tasked with protecting all Americans decides to mandate a specific religious worldview, it ceases to protect democracy and begins to threaten it.
