I love doing this sort of thing! Just entered quote in River of Blood which refers to a quote in Fallen Angel, my huge novel that won’t be published for about four years! Got to love setting up the breadcrumbs for readers to follow!

That moment when you’re sitting in the dark, writing a particularly creepy scene and start to hear noises in the next room… Oh, how I laughed when I realised it was the coffee brewing 👀

I’ve spent the last few hours working on the second Tigress novel, River of Blood. Set at the fall of the Harappan culture, it crosses over directly with the fourth Sam Spallucci novel, Troubled Souls. The constructs are on the move!

Having a cracking writing day today. Not only have I just reached the half way point in the final Sam Spallucci book, Dance of Death, but I’ve been working on a scene set in a book that’s quite a few years off, Divergent Lands: Dragon.

I’ve adored this short sci fi story by Gordon R Dickson since I first read it as a teenager. In an age where so many feel that AI is the way forward, Computers Don’t Argue should be mandatory reading.

So, quick puzzler for your Monday morning. Which punk band am I currently listening to? The picture is a clue to (and indeed was the inspiration for) one of their catchiest numbers.

My current read: Dracula Unbound by Brian Aldiss. I’ve only recently come to Aldiss and I’m throughly enjoying ploughing my way through his works. This one is a cracking tale of futuristic vampires, a ghost train and time travel. What’s not to like??? What are you reading?

My mum bought this tale of Heathcliffe’s years away from Wuthering Heights. It sat by her bedside for years and always fascinated me. When she died 22 years ago, I found it and kept it, finally picking it up to read this year 😊

Well, it’s taken me a while to get this beauty sorted, but here is the cover for my next Sam Spallucci book, Dare The Dragon. And it is absolutely glorious! There will be the usual Kickstarter, which you can sign up for notification of its launch right now over at www.aschambers.co.uk.

Since Google revealed its plans for an AI search overhaul, visits to our "No AI" search page have tripled…and they’re still rising! Want to make it your default on Chrome or Firefox? Grab our No-AI extensions and banish AI-assisted answers, chat, and AI images. (1/3)

Gotta love how recipe comments are like: I replaced the sugar with turkey drippings and the flour with dandelions. It said to fold ingredients in gently but I stirred them with a pogo stick and after all that work the recipe tasted like tin cans. Zero stars.

I can totally relate to this. My father left me a garage full of archaic imperial measurement power tools and rusted OXO tins full of imperial measurement fittings. I at least have had the common decency to cull my box of might be useful cables

Right, now I’ve FINALLY set up the Kickstarter for Sam Spallucci: Dare The Dragon (watch this space…) I’d better get on with finishing the next book, Dance of Death!

Bollocks. One, hardcovers are selling great, especially the ones that these days come with sprayed edges and illustrated end pages. Two, ditching hardcovers would absolutely gut author and bookseller incomes. You want to fuck up publishing? Kill the hardcover. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Pet hate, number 526. When companies try to blend words together to make a tag or brand and my autistic brain goes into meltdown trying to unravel or pronounce it.

There are times when I write a line completely off the cuff and it makes me smile in satisfaction. This is one of those times. From my current WIP, Sam Spallucci: Dance of Death.

So excited to be putting the finishing touches on the cover for the penultimate Sam Spallucci book, Dare The Dragon. Liam Shaw has excelled himself once again with his amazing artwork. Look out for the full cover reveal coming soon…
