unreal pcg is so confusing and documentation is abysmal, but we persevere ! figured out how to get the mesh normal into a point cloud and do multiple raycasts relative to each points local coordinate frame. one important ingredient in a scattering system im working on :)

voronoi cell edge tangent flow map based procedural brushstrokes? what a mouthful

this rendering setup works by storing tangent/normal information on a point cloud and rendering virtual quad with self-occlusion using raymarching. this enables subsurface scattering, something that is typically not possible with geometry card based techniques.
