it's the 19th anniversary of AT2! when someone says that a piece of art changed their life i personally dont jump to attributing it to the work itself, since there's a lot of ways that art can touch our lives. so let me clarify-

many artists would be too embarrassed to write the way he does. but tsuchiya isnt embarrassed about anything, other than maybe 2007 otaku culture

in ciel nosurge tsuchiya gets more explicit with modern political metaphors, though, if you want to see what he'd like to do with billionaires

reductively, you could call this "cptsd therapy the game" to an extent but it's also more than that. tsuchiya offers the most useful psychological model ive experienced (probably since its very holistic and based in psychedelic experience), which is most similar to IFS but not limited to it

Project Metafalica 2.0, a new re-translation for Ar Tonelico 2 is out today. I've spent over a year working on this. AT2 is a PS2 jrpg about giving psychedelic therapy to terrible women in order to make them more powerful and it completely transformed my life. projectmetafalica.com #ArTonelico

extremely proud of the work i did on this btw. it feels good to release a translation that was the product of thousands of hours of human sweat and love in the middle of a deluge of AI slop. translation is unquestionably an art, and like all art, it is a human endeavor
