earlier today i saw an artist on here post an outrage-bait video in japanese about how disgusting rioters in france use anime iconography to represent their struggle! we have been the second biggest consumers of japanese culture for decades, right behind you guys. you are in our blood. accept it.

idk i just heard a remix of porter robinson - musician where it just repeats "isn't it time you get a job?" and its beautiful how they turned it into a taunt from a guy whos never worked a day in his life

it's actually cool and okay to care about the things you're investigating and reporting on. It actually makes your work better to be personally invested rather than just going through the motions to collect a pay check. every single piece of journalism considered incredible followed the above.

Trans women experienced misogyny as girls, even before they or anyone else labeled them as such. Aberrant and effeminate behavior in "boys" is punished by rape, ostracization, beating by parents and peers long before wny of us have the words for why were different.

its depressing, seeing trans people with stable jobs in the city, with social lives that are not filled to the brim with the kind of fascists pullulating in my town. its all i want. something i can never have.

i was robbed of this chance, this thing that i and all my fellow students should by all rights have. i know how to code. i know game design. ive worked QA before. i speak perfect english in a country that notoriously doesnt. skills are just something you crush under the cash register.

i got high on just a bit of agency that i got, on just a bit of self confidence i didn't have, and now it all comes crashing down as i realize this agency was temporary, as i realize progress is tied to currency.

i wanna move, i feel so stuck, but how am i meant to move? where are the opportunities? why do i keep wasting them when they come to me? why do i keep seeing people around me moving while im standing still? while i have just been going in slow motion for more than a decade?

say whatever you want about networking, about knowledge, whatever. the purpose of a system is what it does: private schools take advantage of your aspirations to drain you out of money, and leave you jobless and precarious. all my friends are jobless. those who aren't got nepo'd in. all a scam.
