My mom died of Hep C from her decades of Heroin abuse. She knew she couldn't raise me, so my G'parents stepped up. So I was still able to keep up with my mom thru jail visits, and her moments with Methadone... 1/2

She was hitchiking home from NOLA after Mardi Gras, and 2 brothers in a Vdub van picked her up. All was well until the van broke down in NM, and one brother went back to get a tow truck. In her words? The other brother, Leonard, and her had time to kill.
