We're on that dark path we all saw coming. It's up to us to find every way we can to turn away from it and find a new course. I wish you all the greatest of good luck for yourself, your people and our country.

This would be in keeping with this administration's penchant for theater.

A former Israeli Defense Forces intelligence officer claims Iran's retaliatory attack on a U.S. base in Qatar was carried out with full knowledge of the Trump administration. Barak Ravid said, "The Iranians coordinated this attack with the Qataris and with the knowledge of the Trump administration."

This is terrific: two dozen generally right-of-center public interest & law groups join in a letter saying Congress must not adopt Senate budget language "that would require courts to impose financial bonds before issuing temp restraining orders or prelim injunctions against the federal gov't." /1

Kristi Noem opposing the rule of law: Departing Polish President Andrzej Duda is holding back attempts to restore rule of law in Poland (vaugely familiar). Karol Nawrocki, right-wing candidate, is likely to do the same. Liberal opponent Rafał Trzaskowski would attempt to restore the rule of law.

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has urged Poles to vote for conservative candidate Karol Nawrocki in Sunday’s presidential runoff, saying that only his victory would ensure continued U.S. military support and strong ties with Washington.

So a public company that in 2024 had $3.62 million in total revenue (somewhat better than the average McDonald’s restaurant) and suffered a $401 million net loss is raising $2.5 billion in capital to buy … {checks notes} … bitcoin. Guess whose company it is. www.reuters.com/business/tru...

When the time comes and those in the highest positions of power who've assaulted our nation are gone, the best from among us will rebuild with the aid, love and gratitude of all *true* citizens of this country. And, to all the believers, vigils and guardians of democracy, bravo and greatest thanks.

HUMILIATED ON LIVE TV: In a desperate smear, Marjorie Taylor Greene cropped a photo to make it look like a committee witness flipped her off - but he really held up TWO fingers. Rep. Rep. Melanie Stansbury brought receipts and it was epic. Watch Kimmel rip MTG to shreds:

What's incredible to me is that Piers Morgan—who is, politically, a real sh*t-head—is standing firm on the side of the angels in this conversation. Freaky. And it's not even Friday. Very good on him (in this, anyway). Get thoroughly f*cked, racists. www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/v...

The notion of the "spirit of America" has always encapsulated our national ideals. The National Park Service preserves the places that help us remember what we would choose to be and, in the case of Alcatraz, what we should never let ourselves become, again. But, here we are in a Trumpian dystopia.

Much of our national pride over the last 3/4 century is based on our success in helping deliver the world from the menace that was Adolf Hitler's Nazi regime. Now, within our own borders, we have many who work to resurrect that same kind of menace, cloaked in red, white and blue. WHO are we, NOW?

MOOD ... We come in the age's most uncertain hours And sing an American tune. Oh and it's alright—it's alright, it's alright. You can't be forever blessed. Still, tomorrow's going to be another working day And I'm trying to get some rest. That's all—I'm trying to get some rest. ~ Paul Simon (1973)

We can't let Trump's reign of idiocy run to another election. This criminal puppet has to be removed from office before the end of his term or his dismantling of the voting system's safeguards will leave us with a dynasty of criminals at our country's helm. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

We keep addressing the Trump's bald-faced lies, but those lies are not for US. They're for the MAGA dupes who elected Trump. WE need to address the inactivity of any politicians who *should* be working harder to counter Trump's illegal actions and insane Executive Orders. And we need to do it NOW!

This is an appeal to police, military and government enforcement officers... You signed on to protect us all. You have many difficult responsibilities—not least among them, to follow orders. But greater still are your humanity and morality. Let these be your first and most unassailable priorities.

1/3 Every move the administration makes—each EO—has been with the express intent of concentrating the government's power under the executive branch—under Donald Trump—eliminating the point of the checks and balances that were put into place when this country was established under the Constitution.

3/3 Can we drop finally the charade? This isn't a game of trading barbs and one-upmanship. This is the dismantling and destruction of our country. Our country, our heritage and our legacy, is being stolen from us. What are we doing about it. What are YOU doing about it?

2/3 That's SAME Constitution that so very many patriotic men and women have lived and died to protect. The SAME Constitution that Donald Trump SPITS ON every day that he degrades the office of President of the United States by his presence in it.

I'm going back and forth on this. Either UAP and alien visitors to Earth are genuine and it's been going on for decades (at least!) or there is a worldwide conspiracy by government leaders to make us believe so (for reasons I can't understand). No in-between. Pick ONE. tinyurl.com/a9tb8pzt
