Been kinda quiet since the whole death of Destiny thing, but I've been keeping busy working on my solo project, and I've been keeping sort of a dev-blog on my instagram if you wanted to see more. www.instagram.com/joshkulinski/

The Great Machine, there it stands, floats, as usual, silent. Immobile, stoic. As usual, I kept my expectations way too high. I do see a light, still, hope maybe; but I am an idiot, I know no better than this as a human, a gamer who found home in a "videogame". Well, I can't say I am alone. Sadness.

Wait!! God damn it!! Contact info on my portfolio site: www.agbouskila.com And I need to say: you can't really call it an honour to be employed, but it WAS an honour to work alongside such sharp, thoughtful, experienced peers. Bungie team, thank you for everything. I'll really, really miss you.

Well folks, the hand of the market got me: I've been impacted by layoffs at Bungie. It's been an incredible, astonishing pleasure working on Destiny 2 and a small part of Marathon with so many wonderful, talented folks. This was my first AAA job, at a studio whose games I'd played since childhood.

I know I picked the worst possible time to start doing art again, but I started drawing this back in September, and am finishing it 🫶🏻 I’ve been through a lot and haven’t done art for Destiny in at least 3 years. I’ve absolutely gutted by today’s news. We love you #Destiny2, thanks for the memories.

I got impacted by today's layoffs, as is essentially the entire Destiny VFX team, leads and all. It was a good half decade, Bungie. If y'all know a project that needs a VFX artist I can make you some pretty sparkles :) www.artstation.com/artagah

I sincerely thought Bungie was going to be my forever home in this industry. Alas, I'm back on the job market. I'm immensely proud of the work I got to do on Destiny, and the people I got to build an experience of a lifetime with.

To all my Bungie colleagues past and present, you're legends.

Destiny is so much more than a game. It's a home, a friend, a story of immense proportions. Destiny is love, a decade of memories. Destiny is the life people lived while they played it. I wish leadership could see how important all of that is. Destiny is all of us. Thank you, everyone. #destiny2

Bungie folks impacted by the layoffs: please let me know if you see anything on our careers page that is a fit for you. I will gladly help with application advice and recommendations: www.cdprojektred.com/en/jobs

22 years. I joined a few months before Halo 2 shipped. Onto whatever comes next.

Well, I've been affected by the Bungie layoffs, and I guess I'm now looking for work. I'm a senior narrative designer on Destiny 2. I'm going to thread a little list of stuff I've done on the game; normally I go out of my way to avoid attention, but today I'd appreciate reposts.

Our games industry is people. Our studios are people. Our teams people, our games by people for people. Our games are made by people, in groups of people, in teams of people, making people things for people. The magic is people, and the people deserve so much better than all this. I am so sorry.

If there's anything I can do to facilitate connections between developers who have been laid off and those who can potentially connect them to employers, I want to do it. So, if there are job openings and you know about it, send it my way and I'll do what I can to amplify and connect people.

@hermenhulst.bsky.social Your bonus will be high this year. You'll probably be reporting profits here and there and forget about what you and your team did to Bungie, but not to the execs, to THE TALENTS you are losing and will never get back. You just lost a Sony customer as well. Hope it hurts.

You "leaders" of my ass are ridiculous and childish. D2 fell short of expectations? Are you fucking kidding me? Surely if you don't INVEST in something it will give you NOTHING or very little in return. Get fucked you morons. Much love to the D2 Devs affected. Only love for you ❤️
