REPEAT is along the bottom, sideways because a writer's work is never done. It brings you back to the beginning. It took me forever to get that repeating staircase look right omg. I used the black circles to tie every card together and add some impact to the design. What do you think?

SUBMIT was easy because it often feels like you're throwing your work into the void and waiting for a response. It's hard to see in the inked version pic, but for SUBMIT, originally the void was smaller and I didn't like it so I used a white paint pen to correct. 4/?

EDIT was more difficult. I didn't want to be too on the nose. I went with the image of a ghoul reaping the field, cutting down the words and making the field lean. Representing the hard work to trim a story down, how brutal it can feel. 5/?

For my process, I sketch out the design in pencil. I don't have any fancy pencils, I use just a standard writing pencil haha. I then ink the design out, erase the pencil. 2/?

My first idea for WRITE was a wraith wrapped in parchment holding a pen but I thought it was too literal I guess? I went with a specter bleeding out the words since writing can feels like that sometimes haha. You can see I kept the parchment theme, just minimized it. 3/?
