one thing that i really like about RDR2 is that it makes it fairly clear how arthur morgan is a pretty shitty guy at times, if not often. john marston was treated as the correct moral arbiter of RDR wayyyy too often on top of it feeling ooc for him to be able to rob and kill.

meanwhile, with arthur, it's like "yeah i could totally see this dude sticking up random people for no reason" while still being a sympathetic character. total hardened cunt, but still has that vulnerability that makes him compelling. it's very surprising how much better this is compared to RDR.

like all the debt collecting missions are emblematic of this, but especially the one where he kill this alcoholic while his teenage son hides, then you can go "hey kid i need some money now that your dad's dead" and he shakes down the kid for the money. like the kid knew the exact debt amount too.

i hope mass effect never gets another sequel. exclusively because the SaveMassEffect movement is so nauseatingly focused on uwu we cant let our favorite game die!!! and not on the thousands of layoffs and corporate gluttony gatekeeping art behind a literal prison sentence for the people who made it.

i keep forgetting mina the hollower came out this year because i feel like i should care more. but i never played shovel knight despite iwning it for 37 years so i feel obligated to play that first.

rn my running total in RDR2 for gold medals is 33/45. i feel like that's very good considering i only need 70 and there's allegedly 109 missions in the game. still, i'm gonna try to be persistent so i can get this done asap.

took over station square yesterday. had a lot of evil plans but im noticing the infrastructure of this place is in desperate need of service. the train to the mystic ruins hasnt been serviced in over 6 months. thats a fucking disaster waiting to happen. and the potholes! god almighty.

listened to the new justice song they made for GTA VI. it's not bad but it definitely sounds like a song made for GTA VI trailers in the way that run the jewels became action movie trailer rap.

i really do have a near zero-tolerance threshold for sharing 4chan screencaps or the like, and the fact that i can't recall a day in the past few years that i have used social media and not seen a wojak either ironically or a new one someone made does drive me crazy.
