china travel advice: do not discuss sensitive topics, such as the status of Taiwan actual china travel: so if we invaded this way, it would never work…

don’t ever compromise with fascists. call them out for the pathetic losers they are. you don’t ever give these people a single inch. and then you win

It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.

notice how it’s never wealthy liberals who are asked to take the L and support candidates directly opposed to their existence?

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

The Nova Scotia NDP may show up at protests, but they’re not paving the correct pathway for Nova Scotians to follow.

I see a direct line from roughing up the 80-year-old man in Wolfville to evicting Joan Baxter and Jennifer Henderson from the EverWind announcement to vilifying Paul Wonzey. It's all about delegitimizing dissent.

The Nova Scotia NDP scolding MLA Paul Wozney just seems like a perfect example of the "be kind" tropes we see all the time. I always say when people say "be kind" what they really mean is "be quiet." The Nova Scotia NDP want us to "be kind/quiet." Taking to the streets is not violence.

I certainly hope nobody makes the mistake of conducting business with this company in the future, or involving them in any processes.

these fucking guys, man. “surely there must have been some mistake” “nah bro we did that on purpose and our company culture is so wild this is a normal thing to say on the public Internet”

70 percent of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

Because apparently this needs to be said: if you’re part of a coordinated disclosure process the appropriate thing to do is to talk to the rest of the group before you make unilateral decisions because the process is *coordinated*. It’s right there in the name Don’t agree to that? Don’t be in one

Not a single word of this is hyperbolic in the slightest. Buy your friends in cybersecurity the drink or chocolate of their choice right now. We are not doing well
