Even when saying bad things about someone else, he has to make it about himself.
Trump: "Jon Ossoff has spent more money on makeup -- and by the way I wear very little and I do it myself. Yaaaaaaaaaaahhhh. Because if you don't put a little on, you look a little bit like a dead person. I don't want to look that way. But he goes full bore."
The DOJ is claiming that they have not verified if the people are citizens. YOU ARE THE GODDAMN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS SHIT. WHY ARE YOU MAKING THIS CALIFORNIA'S PROBLEM?
🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨🚨 DOJ dropped a password-protected thumb drive of "suspected non-citizen voters" on Los Angeles County & gave it 48 hours to act of face emergency court action to segregate or block ballots. open.substack.com/pub/eyesonic...
On its face this is unarguable. No technology has resulted in only good things (cars kill over a million people per year). The question is if the good outweighs the bad and who benefits/suffers. It's far from clear that AI is in a winning position.

My feeling is that every politician has stuff that they truly believe in (and can not be swayed from) and stuff where they don't have a strong opinion and just go with what their party says unless someone offers a good alternative. Figuring out which is which is critical.
"they really believe it"/"they will try to do it"/"the promises are real" are things that most americans refuse to believe about politicians but if you take them seriously will help you predict political behavior more often than not
I'm torn. EY is definitely a big weirdo, but he's thought about this more than most people have. I hope he's not the only person Sanders spoke to, but I don't know if it's a bad thing that he's one of them.
I regret to inform you all that Bernie Sanders is in fact taking meetings with noted rationalist wacko Eliezer Yudkowsky over what AI regulations should look like. x.com/SenSanders/s...
Um, okay. I'm guessing you aren't familiar with the names Alison dos Santos, Karsten Warholm, and Rai Benjamin. We all have bubbles. I never listened to much pop music. If my kids don't tell me about it, I don't know about it. Congrats to him/her/them for the hit.
"Well I don't have a TV or a radio so it's not surprising I haven't heard the song" You live in a bubble. What you're describing is a self-curated bubble. If you haven't heard the song that's been #1 on the charts for 23 weeks, you live in a bubble and you should probably be aware of that.
I've never heard of the song before now (and still don't know if Langley is male, female, or the name of a band) and that *is* on me, but I'm not trying to project anything to the world. I don't listen to the radio much and have never heard the song. That's it. It's not complicated.
This kind of take made a Rolling Stone writer so mad they wrote a whole piece about it.
My fun tweak would be to assign EC votes by reps+senators, but compute reps (for this purpose only) as if they were determined solely by the number of votes cast in the state. Voter suppression would be counter-productive.
Maybe Trump and Republicans can work out a compromise, count immigrants as three-fifths of a full person or something
I'm less worried about "getting access to the nuclear codes" and more about "being given access to the nuclear codes and no oversight". The latter seems entirely too plausible to me. But that's not really an AI problem. That's a human problem. Again.
Once again, there's a reason they won't spell out how we'd go extinct. Are we getting Jurassic Park'd because the AI is reinventing dinosaurs? Are they getting access to the nuclear codes and hypnotizing the president into using them? They are referring to bank/infrastructure hacks and exaggerating.
How would you even answer this? "Completely changed", absolutely. 100%. But was it for the better? How can we even begin to guess what Britain would have been like if it hadn't happened?
As the Bayeux Tapestry opens to the public at the British Museum, what impact do Britons think the Norman Conquest had on British history? Positive: 25% Neither: 25% Negative: 6% Don't know: 44% yougov.com/en-gb/daily-...
My 10 year old daughter is currently writing book 5 of her epic series about pigs at war. No AI was involved. Her friends at school are reading them and offering feedback. Another one has promised to do the illustrations. I'm sure they are terrible and I could not be more proud.
This woman is wearing her best "Tell me to smile one more time, motherfucker" face.
Konrad is still doubling down on trying to make fun of this absolute badass because he doesn't know what a BFA is or why people train without mags for physical events. It says a lot about this group chat that Konrad is in it (and it includes Dort!) because he is such an unhinged idiot.
As a kind of mid guy married to a total hottie, I can related. When we first started dating my friends asked "How did you pull that off?" I said "Well, I'm very charming". They said "We know that's not the case. What else you got?" She still thinks I'm a good lookin' hunk of man. No idea...
first of all, it's not "shrekking," it's "roger rabbiting," and second of all, jessica rabbit legitimately saw roger rabbit as hot and if you don't understand that, you shouldn't be writing about any of this
Right now he's not capable of making any deal at all, so I guess this is vacuously true.
Michigan Rep. Lisa McClain on Trump's trade war with Canada: "What President Trump is trying to do, and I applaud him for that, is level the playing field. There is absolutely no way that President Trump is going to the make a bad deal for the American people."

Everyone who had the power to stop this and didn't should be tried for a crime that is not explained with a punishment they don't understand in a language they don't speak.

I thought that *Talarico* was the biggest cuck loser in politics? Now it's Ossoff? How am I supposed to keep track? Is someone keeping track of the current cuck loser rankings somewhere?

Me, remembering the name of our next door neighbor when I was six. Also me, not knowing the name of the person who literally just introduced themselves to me.
God: Okay, let me see. You're going to have a near-perfect memory for song lyrics. Me: Cool, so I'll be able to sing well? God: Oh Me, no. Not at all. Me: Well at least the memory thing will come in handy in day to day life. Names and stuff? God: No, it'll be specific to the lyrics thing.
