This article from 2024 seems relevant! “covert Chinese accounts are masquerading online as American supporters of former President Donald J. Trump, promoting conspiracy theories, stoking domestic divisions and attacking President Biden ahead of the election in November.” www.cfr.org/articles/ele...

cfr.orgElection 2024: China’s Efforts to Interfere in the U.S. Presidential Election | Council on Foreign RelationsEach Friday, I look at what the presidential contenders are saying about foreign policy. This Week: China is following Russia’s lead in meddling in the U.S. presidential election.

Reminders for election season: 1. Don't lead with their lie. Even to rebut it, putting their attack first sets the frame. 2. Stop giving "broken clocks" shine. Validating Rogan or community notes when they’re right 1% of the time just helps them sell the other 99%.

1. Flip the Senate this year 2. Block all GOP SCOTUS nominations 3. Hold the Senate and elect a Dem POTUS in 2028 4. Kill the filibuster 5. Pass HR1 6. Pass 18 year term limits on SCOTUS 7. Fill the 5 new vacancies with liberal justices 8. Have nice things

Turns out covering up for pedophiles isn't a winning strategy. See you at Nuremberg 2.0

Trump makes it official: Bondi is out, Blanche -- his personal lawyer in multiple criminal cases -- is the new acting AG.

Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the “erasure of white culture”. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views.

We need election reform. Get rid of the electoral college. End Gerrymandering. Make DC and PR states. The Republicans have been working the system for too long.

McGovern: Well, he said a lot of crazy shit today. I think it’s time to take the keys away from grandpa. He doesn’t seem like he’s all there.

The choice is impeachment and removal or calamity for the United States. I don't see how anybody watching Trump's speech in Davos can draw any other conclusion. He's a senile madman.

We need to create an alternate government of Democrats. A opposition government with a President, Sec of State, Sec of Defense, Press Secretary, etc. and tell people what we would do in this situation. Make the press cover it to get our message out. The press loves "he said she said".

This is all a distraction from the Epstein files. It's absolutely insane behavior and even more insane that other Republicans are going along with it like it won't destroy this country. Wake up Republicans!

This is not a rational person. And this is deeply disturbing coming from an American President. NATO is not our enemy—they are unequivocally our closest friends and allies. At this point, how can you not call into question the mental fitness of this President?

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand” Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

Identifying foreign accounts should be a law for all social media, like Facebook, TikTok, etc. Also flag accounts that exhibit bot behavior (more than 5 postings a minute). Disinformation is destroying this country and we are being screwed by bots.

Trump and Patel are making the FBI less effective and making us less safe by diverting people to ICE and off of the actual threat-- right-wing extremists. The Michigan shooting is a prime example. This is a direct consequence of those actions.

OK- we gave it a day. No one should be shot. Political violence is wrong. If anyone is guilty of fanning the flames of hate, it was Charlie Kirk. His incredibly racist, divisive and offensive statements were meant to enrage his followers- like his "Hitlist" which led to death threats against others

The whole Trump 2.0 presidency is defined by political violence, starting with pardoning the Jan 6 insurrectionists. "I will be your retribution." "Going to war in Chicago" "Knock the crap out of em" "when the looting starts the shooting starts". There are literally hundreds of examples!

The "news" sucks. How many people were protesting? All the news has are the number of troops and marines, but nothing about the number of peaceful protesters. This wall to wall coverage seems oblivious to WHY the protesters are there to begin with.

The Dems should have a shadow President and shadow cabinet. Every decision made by Rump should be countered by the Dem government. Show us the alternative to this insanity. Give the media someone to interview so they can "both sides" everything like they love to do. We need a Dem AG on the job

Republican voters have been fed so many lies by their politicians and news that they are voting against their own interests. I truly think that R and D voters have similar hopes, but most Rs are drowning in bad information. The enemy are the liars, spreading fear in exchange for power

After YEARS of the GOP saying they wouldn't cut Medicaid, they are destroying it. Up to $880 billion over 10 years. This is the most massive bait and switch, two-faced, back-stab in political history, spitting in the face of voters, hoping we can't do anything about it. But we will destroy the GOP

Trump 100 day report card: Waaaay worse than any Dem could have imagined. Tanking the economy. Arresting judges, deporting US citizens, open corruption, destroying the government from within, ordering investigations of journalists- he is on the road to being a full-blown dictator. No joke.

Trump +20. That's what Stefanik's district is, and Trump pulled her nomination to the UN because he is SCARED that they will lose that seat. +20!! Attention all media who perpetuate the lie that Trumps agenda is "what people want." Trump is trying to destroy this country while the media play along

The bottom line is the Trump wants to be allies with Russia and not Europe because he doesn't align with Western Values. Russia and China don't like multiculturalism. They don't like women in power. They hate gay and trans people. Sound like the modern Republican Party? Yep

What the press/news should be doing right now is explaining to the American public what Medicaid is and why it's important to the people who receive it. Just the facts. Like half of all long term care is Medicaid. So Trump and Musk are going to cut funding for half of people in nursing homes?!

He's completely out of control-- acting like he's King and the rest of the Republican Party is just letting him get away with it. Disgusting and completely un-American!

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

TRUMP: The NCAA has complied immediately. That's good. But I understand Maine -- is the governor of Maine here? JANET MILLS: Yeah I'm here TRUMP: Are you not gonna comply? JM: I'm going to comply with state and federal law T: You better do it bc you're not gonna get any federal funding at all

Everything Trump and Musk are doing has been tried by Nixon and shot down by the courts 50 years ago. It was illegal then and illegal now. In fact, they passed laws to make stuff like this MORE illegal. Trump is worse than the worst of Nixon.

Norm Eisen@normeisen.bsky.social

Since the abuses of the Nixon administration, access to IRS data has been sharply restricted That’s why it’s so shocking that access is being sought for Musk‘s DOGE I discussed @insidewithpsaki.msnbc.com 👇

Trump shutting down departments and agencies that were created by laws is… illegal. Democrats are fighting it. Who isn’t? Congressional republicans are behind it 100%. All republicans are corrupted at this point. Throw them all out. Can’t wait for 2026

To all those saying "Why don't Dems do more?"- VOTE for more DEMS! 100% of Republicans are in lock step with the Trump administration. That "moderate" Republican in your local district who seems "reasonable"-- NOPE. They are ALL in on it 100%. They are in fear of their fringe far right "base"

The. website. lists. mostly. Black. employees. WTF!!!

Jon Cooper@joncooper-us.bsky.social

Federal health workers are expressing fear and alarm after a website called “DEI Watch List” published the photos, names and public information of a number of workers across health agencies, describing them at one point as “targets.” The website lists mostly Black employees.

I'm fed up with everyone pretending Trump has some huge mandate. He didn't even get 50% of the people who voted. MORE people didn't even vote. Trump got only 31% of eligible voters. AND Republicans lost many other statewide races in AZ and NC. All those people sucking up are in for a backlash

Let me state the obvious. There are strong indications that Trump is "beholden" to Putin. Every single chance he gets, he tries to impose Putin's agenda. He will try to force Ukraine to surrender. Tulsi Gabbard as Intelligence head. Even the BS about Panama and CA is on Putin's wishlist

There are 2 types of Trump "policies/ideas": 1) Policies he actually implements and 2) policies that are just red meat for MAGA-- but he never has a real plan to implement. The media keeps mixing these up. Instead, they need to research what he actually did in his first term (tax cuts for the rich)
