"Is the Republican gubernatorial nominee actively trying to lose this election?" Probably not, but I don't think he cares at all about winning it.

Phil Weiser@philweiser.bsky.social

"Weiser is dispensing with traditional political advice, and is appearing everywhere he can and meeting as many people as he can across the state. He has said he is willing to debate Marx anywhere and anytime in Colorado. His philosophy is to 'show up.'" www.denverpost.com/2026/09/23/v...

Maybe just me but I would rather these clowns *actually do nothing* rather than write "strongly worded" letters and pretend that they are doing something productive.

Hickenlooper has sent the Trump administration a series of strongly worded letters. I asked him if that strategy is working. “I hate the letters,” he said. “But sometimes they’re all you can do.”

While I certainly believe in a person's road to rehabilitation and remorse, I can't exactly justify their reclamation of the platform that allowed them to cause that kind of harm. This was a great read and one I needed to really put this new tour saga to bed.

This whole reality isn't the least surprising, because half of America would have voted for Elon Musk if he were the GOP nominee anyway. "He's a billionaire, he'll run the country like one of his businesses and get us back on track," they'd say. You can almost hear it.

We're just in for another four years of the Stupid Sopranos and it hasn't even started yet.

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing. They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays. The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k. www.businessinsider.com/denver-basic...

The problem with pieces like this, which are countless, is the prevailing media assumption that left-of-center Americans need constant corrective instruction about how to be in and engage with the world, whereas right-of-center Americans are simply to be observed in awe, like rainbows or mountains.

Opinion - The problem with Bluesky: It won’t broaden our horizons: In the wake of Donald Trump’s election win, the social-media platform has enjoyed a surge of new users looking for an alternative to Elon Musk’s X. But will it be useful, if it just creates an echo chamber for the left?

Sexual abusers are like plagiarists. They rarely do it just once. So there’s a reasonable chance that additional credible allegations are out there, making the nominees ripe for more investigations, or blackmail

I hate "culture war" for a reason I've seen most clearly articulated by Adam Johnson. It trivializes the issue, and pits it as a debate rather than what it is: an attack on people simply trying to live life as themselves. Conservatives should be steamrolled in these "wars" not ignored, imo
