Seriously. We can't be complacent and need to make it VERY CLEAR that this is unacceptable "leadership." We need to build up our own side, bring in more local people and friends, and REALLY start to amp up the pressure.

Schumer is republican in all but name. There are a huge number of democrats in congress that are actually republican, they vote republican most of the time, and actively work against democrats every opportunity they get.

That would be a complete waste of a perfectly-good (and quite expensive) space capsule. I'd suggest we just build a big catapult and launch them into the Potomac. We could sell tickets. Commercial air time. Little plastic-model catapult kits. Food concessions and cold beer.

Well, the first I would have Schumer do is study Mitch McConnell. McConnell was successfully able to exercise power while on the minority. Learned helplessness is not an attractive attribute in a leader.

Has anyone asked Chuck what year he thinks it is? Closest I have it he thinks it 2017 when he unveiled his master plan that ‘worked’ in 17 by just doing nothing and letting Trump sink himself. Glad that got Trump out of our hair.

Susan Collins was incredibly useful for Mitch McConnell. When he needed her votes, he had them. When he didn't, she could vote the other way to burnish her "moderate" cred. The US press is always desperate for a Reasonable Republican so they eat it up. Her "concerned" routine is just an act.

It’s more likely Dan Goldman. Schumer has HUGE allies on Wall Street. It will be interesting. AOC has a shot in the City but not outside as you head up the Hudson towards Albany. Goldman is a far better public speaker than AOC (I really like her). As a NYer I’m looking forward to ousting Chuck.

In the letter did you use capital letters? Yes we did! Not just at the beginning of every sentence but sometimes entire words were capitalized, to emphasize our concern. Did you use any explanation marks? A few we didn't want to make the president to angry, he might rase tariffs again.
