I hate when I’m reading code and there’s a ten-line comment about why it doesn’t do such-and-such and why this other thing would break. I read code to see what it does *now*. Put the history in git. You don’t need to warn me not to change it back to the old version because you wrote a test. Right?

In politics, we’re torn between ideals and practicalities, aspirations and realities, the world as we want it, and as we find it But one day a manifesto comes along that reconciles both in every pledge. A rare moment of clarity and hope

Delighted to share some good news 🧪 “This hugely encouraging news shows the life-saving impact of the HPV vaccine, and it’s incredibly exciting to be able to say to this whole generation: cervical cancer shouldn’t be a risk for you,” says Caroline Temmink www.newscientist.com/article/2530...

newscientist.comNo young women have died of cervical cancer in England for yearsWe already know the vaccine against human papillomavirus, or HPV, greatly reduces infections and cases of cervical cancer, and now we have the first evidence it prevents deaths too

Thank you, autocorrect, I do like the phrase “but-twiddling”, but it doesn’t fit with my expository flow. An entirely different world of digital manipulation.

Do you think we will replace "senior moment" with "claude moment"? "I'm sorry, I looked in the wrong place." "You're absolutely right, I have no idea why I came into this room."
