a HUGE thank you to my friends @sequentialscholars.bsky.social whose amazing threads on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow I pulled heavily from when researching this episode. This ep would not have been as enriching as it was without their contributions

Y’all , we were so lucky to guest on @mutantstudies101.bsky.social to discuss Danger (the character and the Astonishing X-Men arc) what a fun time. @deanofx.bsky.social and @beakerbarnes.bsky.social run a really great program. We hope you’ll check it out!

overheard at the amc lincoln square after testament of ann lee : “imagine a double date with them [mona fastvold and brady corbet] and… celine song and justin kuritzkes”

Just read the following sentences in a comics studies book from 2024: "Following the general conventions of the field, the writer will be treated as the primary 'artist' behind the work. When appropriate, the illustrator will be noted." Please stop doing this. Make it a New Year's resolution!

day one in mamdani’s new york

This was such a blast! An examination of how our work in NYX and STAR TREK examine and deconstruct concepts of revolution and social upheaval…while ALSO being an incredible nerd-out session with our amazing hosts!

Additionally: we are still taking questions for our mailbag episode! Send us an email with the word Question in the subject line to mutantstudiespod@gmail.com!

We boldly went! For this lecture, your hosts are joined by writing duo @hivemindactual.bsky.social @collinkelly.bsky.social @jacksonlanzing.bsky.social to discuss Star Trek: The Last Starship, their previous Star Trek Work, NYX (2024), and Revolutionary Texts!

Now this is a little peculiar…

Your hosts recorded an episode that is the most fun we’ve ever had and this is only a little bit of the reason
