Vaguebooking one’s boss is a bold strategy…

JD Vance: "Gas prices are too high ... they skyrocket every time some tinpot dictator decides to throw a tantrum"

One former president made a joke that requires understanding that The Cheesecake Factory is not “rich folks luxury.” The current president said he “doesn’t give a damn” that people are suffering because of high gas prices. So I can understand how independents & the media think both are bad. 🙄

While I want everyone to be able to vote freely there’s some beautiful irony in Trump’s dismantling of the postal service suppressing his voters.

ProPublica@propublica.org

NEW: A ProPublica data analysis shows that delays resulting from USPS’ cost-cutting measures have endangered the validity of ballots mailed in rural areas. Counties that voted for Trump in 2024 have been most affected.

This would be hilarious if it weren’t so dangerous. Putin is actively fighting US interests in Trump’s war of choice, while Trump continues to be Putin’s puppet. Wild stuff.

Russian foreign minister and Iran counterpart hold press conference following talks in Tehran

This is Obamalike, in the best way possible. Not President Obama, but Senator for sure. He’s going places.

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

The real “trickle down economics.”

NBC News@nbcnews.com

The price of the fuel, used by farmers and truckers, is up more than 75% since the start of the Iran war in late winter. Diesel costs have become a particular concern for economists, who say higher diesel fuel costs trickle down into “just about everything.”

I’m not sure why folks are surprised by Brazil… you all realize we reelected Trump after his coup attempt right? You think his voters cared whether he was convicted on that or not??

It’s striking that when Palestinians throw rocks at Israeli forces they’re shot. When Israeli “settlers” do it, the police make a few arrests at the end of the whole thing.

Seems like smart Dem operatives would start planting half hearted “don’t they support Trump?” stories about these GOP members trying to quietly fly under the radar like Sen. Collins.

Like give certain megalomaniacs enough money to buy their way into the most corrupt government in our countries history and then kill all foreign aid?

GATES: “.. AI is certainly powerful enough to drive events that, you know, cause a billion deaths. .. There’s never been a weapon as powerful as the combination of people with ill intent using the latest AI tools.” @bloomberg.com www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Again, Iran wasn’t close to having a nuke. We’d already bombed them and (according to this admin) totally demolished their nuke program setting it back decades. Less than a year later we “had to” start a war giving Iran control of the strait? But be thankful or Iran would… control the strait. 🙄

Marco Rubio claims that if it wasn't for Trump, diesel prices would be $18 a gallon 🙃

So definitely not then.

18 US service members. Several THOUSANDS of people have died.

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

Reporter: "The Vice President said yesterday that he would not describe the conflict with Iran as a war…If this is not a war, what exactly is it?" Trump: "I call it a military conflict because it's small potatoes for us. It's not a big thing." Reporter: "18 people have died."

I understand using Pac’s name for wider exposure but write the damn headlines without making it seem like he’s the one being tried. “The man accused of killing Tupac…” was too tough?

The New York Times@nytimes.com

Jury deliberations began on Monday in the murder trial of Tupac Shakur, the rapper who was killed in a 1996 drive-by shooting near the Las Vegas Strip that has remained unresolved for nearly 30 years.

They’re gonna make the deal, confirm Blanche and then reimplement the slush fund and immunity “deal” and Cornyn will pretend to be surprised.

The Dodgers traded for the best pitcher available because they had a surprisingly deep talent pool in the minor leagues and the owners will claim this proves they need a salary cap. #standwithMLBPA

What the Iranian attack confirms is that Trump is no longer capable of operating in the real world when it dissents from the Trump as God Emperor narrative. He can't process information that dissents from the narrative. Thus he cannot lead or protect us; and we are in danger bsky.app/profile/did:...

Dude has worked 22 hours over the last 17 days and wants sympathy and a pass for not knowing his regime is murdering folks in the streets.

Mike Johnson, asked about Maine shooting by ICE officer, says he hasn’t been briefed and doesn’t know much: “I know that there was a tragic shooting. And I’m not going to comment on it because I don’t know. And you guys can mock me for not knowing that. I worked about 22 hours in the last few days.”

ICE murdered two people in less than a week. Claimed they were “ramming their vehicle”. They said the same about Marimar Martinez who they shot FIVE times. She survived. Went to court to get the body cam footage released. Proved them wrong. Every shooting since they’ve left no survivors:

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

The #Brewers & #StlCards have roughly the same offense. The pitching staffs however are not close. Brew crew are 2-3x better there depending on how you cut it. A fairly obvious observation but this series should make it a lot easier for Bloom & co to sell at the deadline.

James Talarico is what happens when you nominate someone who’s a decent person. They call him weird, imply he’s gay, and question his manliness. Graham Platner is what happens when you nominate a scumbag. There’s a difference. Dems need to step in & put an end to this shameful campaign.

Republicans like to claim we have the best healthcare in the world to justify the insane costs we pay. And now these “pro-life” folks want to deny mothers access to the best healthcare money can buy? 🤔

I am a former Republican voter, am still quite a bit further right than many Democrats, and even I know we have to overhaul #SCOTUS. Thomas & Alito don't even try to pretend anymore.

Ned Resnikoff@resnikoff.bsky.social

The Birthright citizenship ruling should be a wake up call to any Dem who is still on the fence about court reform. We are essentially one seat change away from the Court undoing Reconstruction by fiat.

Ugh. Supreme Court rules in Slaughter, 6-3 that Trump can fire people from the FTC. But in Cook, Court rules 5-4 that Trump cannot fire everybody from the Fed. Roberts writes both majority opinions There's no real difference between the FTC and the FED other than Roberts likes the Fed.

Johnson: If we lose the midterms, these Democrats will turn every committee of Congress into an investigative body, and they'll go after the president's family, the cabinet, his donors, friends, half of you in this room will be targeted. I run the protection program. We’ll take care of you.
