Confession: I have never seen the Jim Carrey Grinch movie. I always found the face prosthetics grotesque.

I’ve been re-watching Black Sails, and it is just as thrilling as my first watch. The naval battles are badass, and I love the politics among the factions of pirates, colonies, and England. I really wish there were more shows about pirates.

Maybe my favorite shot so far.

Here’s your weekend #owl content.

I’m just gonna keep posting pics of this owl. This is an owl account now.

There’s actually only 2 seasons. Liquid coconut oil season and solid coconut oil season.

Is there anything better than caramelized onions? I don’t think so.

HELL YEAH DAN GILROY

Surely Dump will be sending the national guard to Orem, Utah immediately, right?

The last three movies Aaron Eckhart has done have cast him as CIA or ex-CIA. I just find that a little funny.

I know it isn’t kosher as someone “in the industry” to speak poorly of tv and movies, but I seriously cannot believe Apple TV+ gave Invasion a third season. This show is so poorly written that I think ChatGPT could do a better job. It’s got serious crappy-elf-first-draft-energy.

If I ever want to feel stupid, I just go to the NYT Crossword subreddit to see how quickly people are solving the puzzles.

I love that Apple TV+ can do the sci-fi, it can do the comedy, it can do the thriller, and it can do the Hallmark.

Whenever I put aluminum foil in the recycle bin, I feel a sense of righteousness. I’m feeding it something pure.

How do I opt out of this category of alert in particular?

I recently discovered you can create custom lists in Google Maps (which I use extensively for saving restaurants). Now I can mark the spots run by MAGA fucks I will absolutely never support.

chat is America *cooked* or is America _cracked_ pls lmk

stay safe out there, folks

As we said in the last Common Sense (and as anyone paying attention already knows) POTUS' move in Los Angeles is designed to provoke. He WANTS the federally-controlled show of force & he wants the confrontation (hence the careful use of key words "insurrection" and "rebellion"...

At the ICE raid and subsequent community resistance in Paramount, California this morning, this skater kid ate dozens of munitions from Border Patrol agents, walked away slowly and flipped them off.

What if this is what convinces Trump to tax the 1% fairly…

2020: “I don’t care about soccer. This Ted Lasso show will not work on me.” 2025: “I don’t care about golf…”

Amanda Peet deserves an Emmy nomination.

MURDERBOT EPISODES ARE TOO SHORT

@berkeleymews.bsky.social I just want to say I have been thinking about your “god’s back” comic a lot. One of the funniest I’ve ever seen.

My anxiety watching tv tonight: █ 　　 █　 █　 █　 ＿ The Rehearsal The Last of Us

Hacks is actively sticking the landing.

Sometimes I like to look at a whole page of NYT notifications and think about how me ten years ago would react.

@bsky.app Allowing us to mute reposts at the user level is the HBO Ellie in the Apollo module of Bluesky fan service. Do it, bask in the glory, the applause, the USER RETENTION.

Ms.Rachel is showing more humanity than our politicians

Every episode of The Rehearsal gives me a new and inexplicable impulse both to die and continue living.

If Woke Pope gives Trump a heart attack I will convert.

@kyleayers.bsky.social @vinnythomas.bsky.social I am enjoying this episode so much

Don’t skip the title sequence for TLOU tonight

One thing they don’t tell you about living in dense urban areas is how you can watch an Amazon (sorry) truck arrive on your block in the morning and you still won’t get your delivery until evening.

how about fucking not at all

Insurrection Act worries on @ezrakleinbot.bsky.social today. Not fringe. This is a NYT podcast. overcast.fm/+ABLShPSYY6o...

In my head I have always called 😒this😒emoji😒 the “Joel Edgerton”
