Some day my goofs will be worthy of a dollar a month, I just know it.

Some frozen food has achieved the level of “livable” to “decent if you make additions/alterations. Many come in larger bags instead of sad little microwave boxes. Last remaining issue: Indian food has not made the leap to bags. Any portion of butter chicken smaller than “too much” is pointless.

Everyone having fun joking about The Cheesecake Factory forgetting they used to be called the Triangle Cheesecake Factory and the deadly refrigeration accident that claimed the lives of so many workers on that fateful day. 😔

I don’t have anything remotely profound to say about BioWare closing, it’s just wild that publishers can have something like the N7 branding (it has a fucking day even) that persisted well after everyone supposedly turned on Mass Effect as a series and still piss it away.

I can’t define the exact difference l, and maybe I’m giving them overestimating things a bit, but there’s a difference between a game being merchandised and a game being *a brand.* Usually companies on the business of making money want brands!

Was always afraid of burning my house down if I went to bed while smoking so I switched to drinking soda and woke up with my house flooded 🙁

If the Red Bull soft drink company had done all that dumb stuff with a car that Tesla did with the roadster I would have thought “those Red Bull goofs are up to their old tricks, turning our caffeine dollars into silly ideas” but Tesla did it so it sucks ass.

New dips at Dairy Queen for the chicken strip basket report: Ghost Pepper Dip, like it but not quite a one-to-one for the long dead ghost pepper ranch they had at Wendy's before they started to go downhill. Strip Dip: One of those generic "comeback" sauces but can't say it's not a good one.

The problem I have with the “$30,000 isn’t a life changing amount of money” argument BlueSky economists are currently having isn’t really that I think they’re wrong*, it’s just that it’s easy to read that they’re saying it’s pointless to give people any amount of money less than life-changing.

*Like yeah, people are statistically, on average, very bad with windfall money that they don’t or aren’t in a position to invest sensibly. And? What is the policy outcome side of this argument? “Don’t cut a $30k check to random citizens?” Okay, yeah that makes sense. Let’s not do that…and then what?

Assuming you care about humans and want them to have life changing (presumably for the better) amounts of money then I guess knowing how much you should give them is important. That’s not what I’m seeing though. What I’m seeing is another round of “you dumb rubes don’t know how maths work”

Over the last several years I've seen people try being leftishly pro-2nd Amendment in some way and I wonder if they will ever realize they're still just agreeing with Charlie Kirk.

Watched a neat series about a young guy almost completely restoring a gas Pontiac Fiero and it made me think an EV swap in one would be fun but there is like literally no place to put batteries in them.

You’d have to replace the passenger/passenger seat with them and then the whole car would list to that side unless the driver were also well over 200 pounds. Which is possible, but I’m trying to slim down.

I don't know what is wrong with my brain, but I think 100% of the time I haven't heard one of the contestants on the Song Vs. Song podcast I don't like it on first listen. Which is awkward when someone usually talks about how it's a legendary song, perfect mixing and instrumentation, etc.

I must be what marketers love, someone who is comfortable with something they have experienced before, even if they don't necessarily like that thing, because something new is scary and weird. It's like finding out I could be tricked into the woods by a trail of jellybeans.

So a Star Wars character action game, squad based strategy, flight sim, open world, and racing game have all been decent to really good. They need to keep going. We need a new RTS, management sim, cozy farm game, and a sequel to Star Wars Dance.

It’s easier to assume every Democrat cutting ads throwing trans people under the bus genuinely believes in what they’re saying. At least I don’t see any reason to think otherwise and we should treat them as such.

Other rightward waffling about crime or immigration or taxes or whatever have been granted too much wiggle room for playing to a perceived center electorate. As much as possible we shouldn’t let the same thing happen with this. Call them bigots in public.

EVs are inevitable and don't need help selling but I think someone should still try and find a way to make the motors look really cool and visible under the rear window like they do with gas mid-engine hypercars. Never underestimate the power of gawking at the shiny fast-making bits.

Wait wait, I should have gone with, “Japan-Scandinavian fusion restaurant that sells sushi called Finland”

Me gearing up to find the location of some scam callers in order to destroy their auto dialers: “You made one deadly mistake; you called me after bedtime.”
