I'm really into the much-overlooked subject of pigsties at the moment. In particular, I like Welsh beehive pigsties which are circular, corbelled, and found mostly in the south of the country between c11-13th & mid-19th centuries. 📸 Hendre’r Prosser Farm now @ St Fagans

Keep an eye on the moon tonight, it’s the full Hunter’s moon and reached its peak in the early hours of this morning. 🌕 The name traditionally reflects the time of year when people prepared for winter by hunting and preserving food. Look towards the autumn sky to catch the moon glowing. ✨

The allée couverte of Le Rocher in St-Jacut-du-Méné (Côtes-d’Armor) was about 14m long and 2m wide. It had been partly destroyed by 1897 but was sold to a stonemason c.1910 and was broken up; this card by Hamonic was issued shortly before its destruction. #TombTuesday.
