TransActual says ‘Know Your Rights’ following the EHRC transphobic code of practice

I've been taking part in Amnesty Campaigns for nearly 30 years. I even helped run an Amnesty International Club at my school. It's the reason I studied Human Rights Law at Uni. This is so extremely disappointing. "We'll stand up for everyone's human rights unless they threaten to sue us."

It's now three weeks to BiCon 2026 in Nottingham and online. If you have been thinking of coming, do book soon: it makes the organising a lot easier.

Flyering for BiCon - "a weekend of things for people attracted to more than one gender, in Nottingham and online, four weeks time!" - at Notts Pride today. Sorry about the colours being upside down - I have a blue t-shirt but not a pink hat...

@nottslgbt.bsky.social BiCon 2026 is next month! A 'by the community, for the community' gathering of people under the bi+ umbrella (attracted to 2+ genders, whatever they call their sexual identity) & their friends. 21-23 Aug in Nottingham & online. Sliding scale, trans inclusive for decades.

On a quick visit to sign the contract today, what is in the entrance hall used by the pupils? Why, it's the bi and trans pride flags (and, not in the photo, including the pan, asexual, lesbian and a bunch of others...)

BiCon 2026 bookings now open! When: 21st-23rd August 2026 Where: Nottingham, UK Why: because it's a wonderful weekend of talking and socialising. It's the UK's longest continually running annual LGBTQ+ event for a reason... How: 2026.bicon.org.uk Who: you?

A UK bisexual organisation jas stepped up and pledged a donation that covers a whopping 35% of our costs. Thrilled! But we still need to raise just shy of £2k so please donate if you can!

So... how do I "bridge (this account) to the fediverse so (people) can follow on Mastodon etc"?

I email people asking them to do the feedback form and within 15 minutes, two people have already done so! <3

Forecasting the weather for somewhere in the UK a week ahead is never exact, but it's looking good on the Met Office's site for Fri-Sun in Nottingham: sunny intervals, max 22 degrees, low chance of rain...

One reason I could talk about BiCon being the largest bi+ event in the UK this year: Bi Pride have just made public their decision to cancel their event. It was going to be on 31st August in London. May all their 'spoons' return to enable next year's Bi Pride to happen.

Ah, they're wisely going to go for an indoor event!

It's two weeks to BiCon 2025. If you're coming - for the whole thing, for a day, or as part of the online bits - but haven't registered yet, it will make both of our lives easier if you do so in the next couple of days.

Three weeks to BiCon 2025! I will be giving out flyers at Pride in London tomorrow...

Four weeks to go - the only better time to book for BiCon 2025 was several weeks ago...

It's a month to go to the start of BiCon 2025! Bookings are now open for day tickets and Online BiCon. 2025.bicon.org.uk/bookings-ope...

Five weeks to BiCon 2025! Bookings for day tickets and online BiCon 2025 will open in the next week! Coming for the whole weekend? Booking now rather than later means happier organisers :) In any case, reposting this = more publicity for a highlight of the bi+ year...

Just six weeks to BiCon 2025 - don't be unlucky and miss out on one of the highlights of the bisexual year...

Eight weeks to BiCon 2025 !

Nine weeks to BiCon 2025! At this stage last year, bookings had only opened a couple of days before. This time, we've got a three-day BiCon, extra space, a lovely social area, a good local Pride event to go to, and more...

It's ten weeks to BiCon 2025! It's in Nottingham, 25th-27th July, in case you'd forgotten :) 2025.bicon.org.uk

Something on the website about that judgement and these badges. A couple of days late, but earlier drafts had a lot more swearing... 2025.bicon.org.uk/b-with-the-t...

Just bought a couple of hundred enamel badges to give (free / for donation) to BiCon 2025 attendees. BWithTheT

You can support these amazing, fearless, hilarious, and delightfully bonkers kids by donating to their fundraiser. chuffed.org/project/supp...
