This nepo baby from Carmel has occupied a deep-blue seat in Congress for a decade and has nothing to show for it. Now he's straight up voting with Republicans

I know this is a joke buuut — the Dream *chose* a home arena that they knew can’t host Finals games. So they were never planning to win in the first place?

Marisa Ingemi@mingemi.bsky.social

honestly I kind of think if you can't think to come up with a plan for an arena for a clinching game before three days out, maybe you lose that home game altogether idk

At some point, Atlanta should have to own the fact that they play in a 3,500 seat arena. G6 should be there at the normal time. Sorry ATL fans I guess but that’s not the Valks problem

Trump: "Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Acton, is a liar, and much worse. The Press is trying to get him to 'take down the Ad.' Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about daughter that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving"

This season hasn't hit quite the same. And here's another nail in the coffin

Matt Brown@mattbrown.bsky.social

Blowing up the regular season, against the wishes of almost all fans, just to assuage the egos of a handful of donors placate coaches worried about losing their 8-million-dollar jobs. What a waste.

"In baseball, results frequently bear only a tangential relationship to process" well damn if this sentence doesn't make me miss coaching this sport

Gift link to my sidebar from last night, which is about Blake Snell pitching the game of his life for six innings, unfortunately bookended by the first three home runs he'd allowed all year

Putting him on stage with Rosalía was an insult to the concept of talent itself

RE: Shane Gillis, I hate having to declare things/people not funny. No one likes a buzzkill, but that guy’s joke writing is complete dogshit.

This has always been clear to fans on the west coast.

Joe Kearns@joekearns.bsky.social

My meta take on college football is the playoff is not the biggest reason why most people are (relatively) down about the sport, and neither is NIL. The conference TV deals and their influence on disrupting historic rivalries via conferences no longer being regional are *the* problem.

Couldn’t watch but have to assume this is about the 16 penalties for 147 yards I just saw in the box score

The biggest historical concern I’ve had with Cal hiring Tosh Lupoi was whether his strategic deficiencies as a coach were covered up by management from very good to elite coaches like Tedford, Sarkisian, Saban and Lanning, and the first five weeks have laid all those fears bare.

Some battles you can’t win with physical power. It’s a spiritual battle. Some addictions you can’t defeat with natural efforts. You’re going to need supernatural strength. It may be too much for you, but it’s not too much for your dick. It has all the power.

Fielding questions re: this article w/bizarre factual errors. First, there's no "Montecito County" in CA. Second, 2 fires are actually in *Monterey,* & 3rd in *Mendocino*. Third, 60k ac have *not* burned in either fictional Montecito nor real Mendocino.🤨

More than 10 million Americans take out a used car loan every year, with an average rate of an insane 11.4%. We lower those rates by 4 points with our FHA for Car Loans proposal, saving the typical borrower $6,000 over the life of their loan.
