We got SUPER deep in this interview, unpacking some things I hadn’t thought about until that very moment. So grateful to @jeremywhitley.bsky.social for taking the time to talk!

Oh, hold on, here's another interview and this one went some places @bjkicks.bsky.social and I talked about Navigating with You and The Dog Knight, but we got deep into politics, book banning, and growing up in a church whole politics don't match their message: youtu.be/6YjupdXL9QE?...

I'm seriously behind on editing/posting podcast interviews. Here's a great conversation I had with @jeremywhitley.bsky.social about the impact of book bans ahead of the release of Navigating With You Vol. 2, due out in November. comicsaredope.simplecast.com/episodes/112...

@bjkicks.bsky.social Listening to your latest interview and you just spoke to something I have thought about since childhood with The LosT World being my little sister's fave movie... Why did Jeff Goldblum have a Black daughter in that movie?!? 😂😭😂

When Mike Davis of Blerds Underground looked around at ComicsPro 2023, he was surprised to find no one who looked like him. He started asking around... "Where are all the Black retailers?" The collective response: "Let us know when you find them." Three years later, he's doing exactly that.

With Phillip Rollins of Offbeat, Mike cofounded The Ink Alliance, a 10-store coalition of Black-owned Direct Market retailers thought to represent more than half of all such shops in North America.

Another comic book announcement from me! It's not a superhero comic so I'm sure some may not give a damn, but I do. I'm here to tell the stories regardless of the genre. It's been such a professional joy to work with @raheight.bsky.social on a project finally!

It seems the Eisner Award ballots are now officially open, so if you're a voter, SKTCHD is a nominee in the Best Comics-Related Periodical/Journalism category and I hear it's pretty cool! I'm very proud of what I've been doing at SKTCHD, and I would certainly appreciate the consideration.

I scheduled this video to release while my wife and I were on vacation in the Smoky Mountains. Kinda overwhelmed by the amount of comments, so I'm gonna pretend they don't exist and just look at these photos I took instead. youtu.be/2h1SUNtimjg
