I feel like now is a good time to update my pinned comment with newer stuff I've worked on. Heyo, I'm Blaven. I'm a bit sporadic with what I work on, but I do pixel art, miniature painting, and stream video games on Twitch!

I would have been pissed if I was this Wesker player, he was an inch off of getting the wall slam that would have secured the 4K but somehow he got the throw animation instead which let me slip right past him to escape. #DbD #DeadbyDaylight

Seeing the closure of Bioware is truly heart-breaking for me. KotOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins were all incredibly important games for my teenage years. I spent countless hours on ME3 multiplayer making friends and grinding gold difficulty. Fuck EA and their shareholders.

My only compliant for E-Day's Horde Siege mode is that it really needs to fill up empty slots in lobbies. I had my entire squad abandon a mission, and it was a slog to deal with the friendly AI that just can't keep up against enemies.

While I am really enjoying Gears of War: E-Day, it has to be the game that has given me the most crashes this year. Hopefully the game will have some optimization fixes coming out on the full release day.

Got invited to a big get together dinner on Halloween, but they want everyone to dress up. Took a bit of carving away but now my costume's mask is a lot more expressive. ...gonna have to figure out how to make the gaps at the sides of the mouth less noticeable though.

Hit credits on Star Wars: Zero Company and it is an absolutely fantastic game in both gameplay and story but suffers from the same technical issues you'd see in XCOM 2. Long pauses in between actions and the camera will throw itself into the void of space. However, I'd put it up as my GOTY of 2026.

Had a great time at #fanexpotoronto this year! Didn't get too many photos on my phone, but I was stopped by a lot of lovely people who complimented the cosplay. I'd offer to let them have a photo of them wielding the Saw Spear, and I saw so many people light up at the idea. Fear the Old Blood.

Played my first game of Spearhead today with a coworker. My Seraphon got absolutely destroyed by his Ogors. Just had a really unlucky streak that we both laughed off, but I'm definitely gonna be giving this more of a go in the future.

Having a bit of a character crisis in Marvel Tokon, I know I want Magneto on the team, and maybe Wolverine but struggling to find a good 3rd and 4th pick. I'm sure this combo could be optimized better, but for now I'm pretty happy with a 56k damage combo: #MarvelTokon #Magneto

After the whole GDQ SNK thing yesterday, I had that weird moment where I had to step back and remind myself that "Real world dictator is trying to use Art of Fighting 3 to become god king emperor of ESports" is a fucking insane thing to actually be real.

Built the Warriors. Now I just need to make the Kroxigor and Oldblood on Carnosaur. Coworker wants to run a Spearhead game sometime soon, so I'm not doin much for basing yet. Ordered some bits that might make for good jungle terrain and might try making some Azteca patterned flooring with EVA foam.

I don’t want this point to be lost in the discourse. Going digital-only means inequity for people who cannot afford internet or constantly purchasing new games. Libraries provide opportunities for people to experience games they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford, and that will be lost.

One of my new favourite things to do for the stream is change up my mascot to whatever game I'm playing. The base version has a lot of general use, but I think it adds a nice touch to see the little pixel me wearing something related to what I'm playing.

Bruh, what in the fuck? This has to be an expanded universe character (from one of the VNs) or a collab, right? I hope that if they're testing the waters for future games that Mori P will either return or give his blessing on a new game.
