Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again. #Pinks #ProudBlue

The cruel and inhumane treatment of citizens may have happened in the wrong community. I hope this results in a serious lawsuit to impact how these federal agents/thugs behave moving forward.

This post Is important! Please Watch It completely (it’s 4 minutes hence why the youtube link). There is the potential for a major lawsuit based on the unlawful behaviors of these government officials. /1

weird how the guy born into obscene wealth, bailed out repeatedly, allowed to fail upwards forever until he fell ass-backwards into the presidency, and then was declared by the Supreme Court to be a Very Special Boy Who Can Crime Forever never stops whining about how everything is rigged against him

If someone had said, “Who cares how desert lizard venom works? Let’s not fund that research,” we never would have discovered semaglutide, a key component of drugs such as Wegovy and Ozempic, which have helped millions of Americans lose weight.

americanscientist.org“Why Are We Funding This?”Long-standing myths about “silly science” have contributed to the reckless slashing of government-supported research.

The Minnesota shooter apparently used data broker websites to find the home addresses of the people he shot and murdered. Congress has had years to do something about data brokers and they've sided with the tech lobby over and over again. Their inaction is deadly.

Yeah my job is pretty cool. My uniform is a tactical vest that’s two sizes too small and a gaiter I bought in a gas station. They send me to sneak into schools to kidnap little kids because people got mad about having to press 1 for English. The president had to warn everyone to stop spitting on me.

must be incredibly frustrating and disheartening to have federal funding that was promised to you for important work suddenly and arbitrarily ripped away

Yep, we told you tariffs are a consumer tax & what Trump's last tariff war cost: 📌$31 billion in farm subsidies 📌245,000 jobs 📌closed 1,800 factories 📌largest tax increase on consumers in decades costing $80+ billion. 🚨GOP in Congress about to budget record debt & raise taxes on working people too

This is horrible to post, but I may as well post it. We are essentially shutting down research operations in my group, which is focused on treatments for pediatric brain cancer. I’m a well funded investigator, and there’s no choice. Science can’t function without the stability of NIH

ANYWAY, did you know there's an extension you can put on Chrome that will connect with your local library system and when you go look at a book, say on AMZ, it will tell you if that book exists in the library system and if it's available? It's literally called Library Extension.
