It always comes back to this for me; if AI was so good, such a disclosure would be a selling point. If AI was everything these slop jockeys said it was, they should be proud to let people know their game was AI made. But the proof is in the pudding, and they can't stand that people don't want it.

In my conspiratorial brain, big companies are really trying to push AI especially right now because they need to prove it's profitable before the US midterms are over. They know the second that the seats get flipped, if there's no ROI, if the investors pull out, then the regulations will kill them

It's important to understand that they're basically throwing anything at the wall and seeing what sticks in the loudest, most invasive way possible. I urge you to stick to your principles and avoid using anything, or paying for things that use or were made with AI.

If they make a profit, then they can make the case that it's good for the benefit of everyone (which isn't true.). Depending on who is listening to them, they will argue in front of Congress for no sanctions on AI, because of its performance.
