Well, i need all of these, I think.
I rounded up 13 bone-chilling Indigenous horror reads that’ll crawl under your skin and into your dreams. Stephen Graham Jones is back with Off the Reservation, Never Whistle at Night returns for blood, and writers from Alaska to Aotearoa are bringing the scares. redpopnews.com/13-bone-chil...
Batshit insane. That's a $1500-$2100cdn console. Consoles are supposed to be for kids FIRST. They're the into to gaming Adjstd for inflation all the 1st Gen consoles (NES,XBOX, PS) no matter release date or orig cost, adjust to ~$500. A $1500 console kills gaming. At The generational level.
$1200-1800 for a console is such commercial suicide I can't even muster a "get the fuck outta here" about the news aftermath.site/xbox-helix-nex...

Well, that feels pretty spot on.
The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...
Well, i did it. I bought digital copies of "Car Wars" counters, gonna get them printed, and then teach 9 year old Sparkplug to play so we can have an Autoduel event at the @extralife4kids.bsky.social gameathon Nov.7. We game for CHEO, donations welcome. dd.extra-life.org/participants...
This is horrific. But not surprising. The only thing that's surprising to me is that it's not pay-per-view.
America is great because America is good. As a prosecutor and an American, I am horrified by Pete Hegseth’s plan to livestream an execution. What Nidal Hasan did is unforgivable. But we must have justice without sinking to the lows of dictatorships and terrorist regimes.
I mean... look at it? That's two lanes each direction, plus center/yellow/divider, plus turning lanes. How are we surprised that if you make it quack like a highway, people assume it's a highway, rather than a road? Especially when you, and here's the kicker, CALL IT A HIGHWAY.

As someone who has recently gone from gas (a v8 truck, no less) to an EV, beverage is great, but utilization, ie, charging infrastructure, is beyond lacking. I have more thoughts on this, but they need organizing first.
Canada’s Low Electrification Rate Threatens Its Future Prosperity Canada = 18% France = 26% Japan = 30.5% Brazil = 25% Turkey = 24% Indonesia: 19.6% If the future is electric, Canada is not highly electrified...or likely to be by 2050. #cdnpoli energi.media/markham-on-e...
In seven weeks, I will run a team for ExtraLife (Benefiting the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario) for the fifteenth year. If you can spare a couple bucks in donations if you are in the Ottawa/Eastern Ontario region, it helps a lot! dd.extra-life.org/participants...
It appears my new tattoo order is: - godzilla (either reflected in the lens of a 35mm camera, or in prints in front of a 35mm camera) - the black rabbit of Inle - Robotech/ mospeada bike Dammit. I gotta make some appointments.
Watership Down is a favorite in our house, so much so, when my oldest turned 18 they went out and got the shadow/death rabbit tattooed on them.
I once hit a suddenly thrown-open BMW coupe door doing nearly 40kmh downhill (on a bicycle) - got sideways enough to put my shoulder into it, and bent it so far back it broke the front headlight off the car it was on. THIS door would have decapitated me, in the same situation.

Simultaneously a demonstration of Dolly Parton and Joss Whedon's characters, one positive, one negative
Dolly Parton was an uncredited producer on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When she learned the only female producer was making less than her male counterparts, Dolly cut her a check for the difference, on the spot.
Weird. I don't normally react to celebrity deaths, but once in a while, a thought strikes me. markramsden.wordpress.com/2026/08/25/d... Dolly was a good one.
