My first thought was Did Wayne Barnett of the SEEC get a promotion or something?

Katherine Mitchell@katherinemitchell.bsky.social

Sorry, since when do state agencies just get to decide a section of RCW is unconstitutional and stop enforcing it?!?

The mayor needs to get serious about getting rid of the SEEC's Wayne Barnett, and the governor needs to dump PDC director Peter Frey Lavallee. Now is not the time to be indulging these clowns, be serious, democracy is in grave danger and they're playing these little games

Nerd On A Walk@nerdonawalk.bsky.social

@themountaingoats.bsky.social I just voted to re-elect Bardi Martin, attorney, judge and Candlebox bassist as Distrct Court judge. His opponent seems fine but she wasn’t in Candlebox.

The Alliance for Pioneer Square wants you to be afraid of more flex posts and bollards to make streets safer in Pioneer Square. Watch out for scary dog walkers in Occidental Park.

This is so draconian. Purpose-built to punish ppl for being broke by shoving em thru a bureaucratic meat grinder.

Guy Oron@guyoron.net

NEW: The Seattle City Council just passed legislation, that while presented as a permitting program, will effectively ban homeless people living in RVs and trailers on city streets. The city doesn't even have a safe lot open yet. Read in @thestranger.com: www.thestranger.com/news/seattle...

We all definitely know someone who's had to live in their vehicle at some point. Would you put them thru this ordeal? Or would you at least leave them alone to figure their shit out? Or maybe even actually help them?

Next up was Tim, who is apparently a member of something called the "Save the Doyle Landmark Steering Committee." Tim wants to see a totally different project that involves historic building incentives and transfer of development rights.

98116 has broken away from the pack and now leads by 4 98126 rallied hard to come even with 98106 still taking orders to ship on Monday! bretthamil.bigcartel.com/product/the-...

Truly evil shit, kicking people while they're down once again enshrined in city policy, look out for karma you ghouls

Guy Oron@guyoron.net

The Seattle City Council will be voting on a proposal to require RV residents to register for a specialized permit. The package would also increase funding for services and outreach. But many providers and advocates are concerned the legislation will push hundreds further into the margins.

easier to demand $$$ for nebulous criminals hiding in the shadows than it is to do the block-and-tackle work of making streets safer. i live in an area where gun activity is common & my kid's school's had 2 shelter-in-places already this school year & I'm *still* more concerned about psycho drivers

"The Results Are In" #DOOMLOOP #seattle

this took me *1 minute* if you include licking the envelope etc (this one goes quick if you, like me, don't vote for judges running unopposed BUT i did make an exception for Pooja Vaddadi because she deserves a strong showing after what Ann Davison put her thru)

Brett Hamil@bretthamil.bsky.social

Anyways i will be filling out my ballot and dropping it today using @leftycheatsheet.bsky.social aggregation and @theurbanist.org endorsements. Sorry Eileen!

The fact that she's whining about a shoestring progressive endorsement aggregator suggests that they are solidly over the target

Jason@jrock08.bsky.social

I think you can learn a lot about the moderate political program in Seattle and WA more generally by reading this gish gallop from political consultant Eileen Pollet.

Last thing I'm gonna say about this: everyone complaining about Lefty Cheat Sheet are exactly the swamp creatures you DON'T want to have sway in your choices. Any one of these ppl could simply make their own endorsement aggregator but they won't because it's beneath their level of agency & influence

Wah they don't aggregate endorsements from orgs who vastly favor incumbency and don't give members a vote in favor of letting paid political influence peddlers on staff decide wah
