Lula winning is great for the planet, great for Brazil, and great for people who aren't revanchist assholes everywhere in the world, but let's not forget that it's also going to make some of the worst people on Earth extremely sad and mad. We should enjoy that, as a little treat.

I've finally got back to designing locos after a few months, and I've just started work on the LSWR B4 locomotive. It's currently a work in progress, but this will later be a body kit for the Hornby 0-4-0 chassis. #modelrailway #3Ddesign #Blender

I've had a bad cold/Flu and each day it seems to be getting worse. At the moment I feel like a microwave meal, intense hot spots with parts of me still frozen ha ha ha... No but seriously I am in pain all over.

Gave my On3 engines a quick test after theyve been sitting for a few years. All 4 powered up fine but one of my climaxes was refusing to move. Oh well. Future issue to solve.

A bit of an update on the #3Dprinted Porter loco. The person that commissioned the model seems to have disappeared off Bluesky with their account seemingly gone. Therefore this is as far as I'm willing to go with the project. So enjoy this little running session showing it off! #modelrailway

It's about 90% done, with a few details to glue in, and trying to figure out how best to do the valve gear. The motor is solid, but at full windup it does lose traction and can come off the track. With some TPU printed wheels it would at least fix adhesion. But It'll need work to stop it derailing.

Honestly, I don't want to blow my own trumpet, but I do love this little locomotive and wouldn't of had the chance to build it without the commission. It'll certainly make a lovely addition to the collection, and maybe I'll find another use for the designs in the future like an electric motor etc.

I've been collecting all the new #DoctorWho Vortex sets but I forgot about the newest release. Unfortunately this one quickly sold out within a matter of days. The worse part is the "Collect and Build" feature where you get a new part each release. So it looks like I've royally cocked up XD

The worse part is, like Pokemon cards and so many other hobbies, scalpers have made collecting these things a real pain. I'm probably looking at spending near £100 on Ebay for a set that usually costs around £40...

I've just set up these new shelves in order to get my collection off my desk and on display. This isn't every loco I own just the ones I had out. #modelrailway

Here's the first test of my #3Dprinted Turbomotive body kit, now cast in resin. I'm so happy with how it turned out but I think I need to remake the mold with some necessary tweaks. Overall, it's a good proof of concept and managed to turn a 7 hour print into a 10 minute cast. #modelrailway

Not been very good at posting regularly on here. So a bit randomly, here is a freelance TT120 Neilson saddle tank I designed and printed to go on the Hornby Normandy chassis #TT120 #ModelRailways #3DPrinting

I've spent today getting my #3Dprinted Turbomotive ready for resin casting. I've printed the boiler at the lowest layer height and it has an amazing finish, I can barely tell it's FDM printed. Then I've created the silicon mold. This is 1 part of a 2 part mold which I'll explain later. #modelrailway

Unfortunately, when I was 3D printing the body shells, I wasn't able to go down to this layer height because it would take too long to print which wasn't viable. But if the casting works I can make all my kits as detailed as this in a tenth of the time, I could even make them to order.

The best part about the resin is I could mix pigments into the resin and create locos of any colours, giving me the ability for the buyer to pick the livery.

Watching the first 2 Scooby Doo live action films again, I've got to say the CGI on Scooby still looks pretty good 24 years later XD. It's not ultra realistic, but it doesn't look out of place or distracting.

Felt like posting some of my gauge 3 things. For those unaware, thats 1:22.6 scale on 2.5" gauge track. These were a mix of wood scratchbuilds, resin kits, and the engine is steel and 3D printed. I built these between 2015 and 2018.

Legendary animator Loyd Price has sadly passed away at 64. He spent more than 30 years at Aardman, with credits including ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas,’ ‘Flushed Away’, ‘The Pirates! Band of Misfits’, ‘Wallace & Gromit.’

I'm down to the last few of my GT3 locomotive body shells! These will be the last of the GT3 for a while till I've developed the resin casting, so don't miss out! #modelrailway #ebay #3Dprinted

Here's a first test of a silicon mold for some 3D printed parts. The mold came out good but I'll need to redesign the original part so it can be poured from the top rather then vertically. But we are getting somewhere, and I hope to work on some locomotive shells soon (these are TARDIS windows btw)

I've been mostly using one of my TARDIS designs for testing the resin casting. This TARDIS can easily take many days to produce through FDM printing so, with any luck, I can speed up the process through resin casts and produce them perhaps with minutes.

There's a new kit up on the shop! This little Neilson engine. It's based on the Great Eastern's 209 class, later LNER Y5. 1 of the 8 locos built was later adapted into a tram engine and was used in Colchester. So I've used lots of it's features in this narrow gauge spinoff!
