Thank you everyone for the love and positive vibes that my previous post has generated. It felt incredible to share a hopeful moment with all of you as we continue to endure the despair the fires have wrought here in So Cal. Utterly thankful for our heros @lafd.bsky.social and @calfire.bsky.social πŸš’

Whether it happens 6 hours from now, 6 days from now, 6 weeks from now, 6 months from now, or 6 years from now, it will be one of the largest worldwide celebrations in the history of the human race.

Trump: We can't take care of daycare. We're a big country. We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things.

1/ It's not just that unilaterally paying TSA agents is illegal. It's that Trump has now repeatedly undermined the core of the congressional power of the purse. He's not spending money that has been appropriated by law (impoundments) and he's spending money that has not been appropriated.

I will never get over Trump, Hegseth, and the US military launching missiles into an Iranian city and subsequently bombing a school filled with little girls. It's too hurtful to even think about. It paints a perfect portrait of Trumpism- with us forever, correctly defining who this person truly was

This is disgusting, but also a tacit admission of just how horrible and indefensible it is.

Reporter: Did the US bomb an elementary school and kill 175 people? Trump: Based on what I’ve seen, it was done by Iran. Reporter: Is that true Mr. Hegseth? Hegseth: We’re investigating. Trump: They are very inaccurate with their munitions. It was done by Iran.

I wrote about how the US and Israel carried out an attack on an Iranian girls school on par with the OKC bombing and US media relegated it to a back page story. No stand alone evening news segments, no front page stories, it made A11 in the NYT then everyone moved on.

Ossoff: "Among today's false prophets are the election deniers who indulge this president's obsession with overturning the 2020 election. Hear me when I say this -- they tell a lie so absurd, and therefore so debasing, that the act of telling it proves the teller's total and humiliating submission."

This x 1000. There are effective ways to increase the impact and intensity of these hearings and Dem representatives have simply not been capable of executing on various fronts for a while. It regresses into an embarrassing display of unpreparedness. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

Can Judiciary Dems please hire an experienced litigator to conduct brief tutorials for members on how to question witnesses effectively. I realize this isn’t a courtroom and Bondi is determined just to yell and scream but we aren’t getting much done here either giving speeches.

Christmas Eve is the worst sports day of the year, but we are going for 9 College Football winners in a row with Hawaii -121 tonight. Let's go Rainbow Warriors! 🌈🏈 #SportsBetting #Hawaii #California

Pete Carroll had the opportunity to kick a field goal and bring the #Raiders within a single score yesterday at the end of the 3rd. Instead, he went for it (4th and 3) didn't get it, and never got closer. Post-game, Carroll said, "If I had to do it again, I would have kicked it. That's on me." 🀑

I've had this design in my head for a while and thought I'd share it for NBA Opening Night. πŸ™ƒ I think it would be a cool T-shirt. πŸ€ #NBAOpeningNight #Lakers #Warriors #Rockets #Thunder #NBASky

My Los Angeles #Angels stayed relevant through mid-August, culminating in a season sweep of the rival Dodgers on 8/13. But they went 3-10 afterwards and the season effectively ended. ☠️ I'm happy they've moved on from Washington / Montgomery, and it's apparent that GM Minasian should be fired next πŸ‘‹πŸ»

Though I'm conditioned to believe it will be short-lived, I can't help but be excited about the hot start for my LA Angels! πŸ”₯ The Halos rotation looks better and their lineup is well-rounded with some firepower. I'm more excited than I've been in years! ⚾ @olbermann.bsky.social #Baseball #MLB

My favorite of the four legal thrillers I've read so far by @mikepapantonio.bsky.social, "Law and Vengeance" is a masterpiece. The intriguing story deals with human emotions and revenge. I love being in court with the Deketomis team as they take on the corporations who do us harm πŸ‘¨πŸΌβ€πŸ’» #Booksky #Thiller

Bryan Boatman@bryanboatman.bsky.social

While only beginning @mikepapantonio.bsky.social's "Law and Vengeance", it's quite compelling and satisfying. I'm significantly engaged with the characters and ever-twisting plot, unsure about what lies behind every fun and exciting chapter. #Booksky πŸ“š #LegalThriller @ringoffiremedia.bsky.social

Thank you, @carlquintanilla.bsky.social. This made my day! Gin Blossoms are a perfect encapsulation of the era of fun, alternative 90's rock. 🎢

Gin Blossoms release β€œNew Miserable Experience” 33 years ago today. β€œI never get tired of hearing it,” Robin Wilson said about fans’ reaction to the album. β€œI know it’s usually going to be something meaningful about our music that has connected to their lives.” β€œFound Out About You”

Darkly beautiful, and filled with equal amounts of anger, despair, and hope, @mikepapantonio.bsky.social 's "Law and Addiction" will stay with the reader. A must-read legal thriller, particularly for the youth of America who are on the front lines of Big Pharma's continued destruction. #Booksky πŸ“š

A captivating, engaging read, @mikepapantonio.bsky.social 's "Law and Addiction" humanizes America's opioid tragedy while teaching about its underlying causations. I can't wait to finish it, and when I do, I will happily provide an update. πŸ’Š #Booksky #Thriller #Opioid @ringoffiremedia.bsky.social πŸ“š

* @mikepapantonio.bsky.social's "Law and Disorder" was a fascinating look into the crossroads of American power: a place where politics, corporate malfeasance, religion, and the law intersect. I was entertained, educated, and enthralled. I can't wait to read the next one. πŸ˜€ #Booksky #BookReview πŸ“š

Halfway through @mikepapantonio.bsky.social 's "Law and Disorder" and boy, does "thriller" describe it. Not only am I hanging on every chapter, but I'm learning a ton about the psychology of a trial lawyer. Update to come when finished! πŸ“š #Booksky #Law #Legal #Thriller @ringoffiremedia.bsky.social

Flew through @mikepapantonio.bsky.social 's "The Middleman." It was a thrilling story that kept me on the edge of my seat for weeks. We are in dire need of regulation if not outright elimination of "PBM"s - Pharmacy Benefit Managers, as their existence perverses our market. #Booksky πŸ’Š

An impartial board would have fired Elon years ago for his outrageous public behavior, but its fealty, complicity, and willingness to pump $TSLA stock on Musk's empty promises and vaporware has led the company to today's disastrous Q1 earnings report πŸš—: www.wsj.com/business/aut...

Make no mistake, the #TeslaTakedown is working! Elon is flummoxed, pathetically reducing himself to desperate PR stunts to try to stop the bleeding. Between Cybertruck's recall and his whining to Hannity that he's never hurt anyone, Musk's fear of political blowback and obvious sales slump is real πŸ“‰

We need to pour a ton of money/focus into geo-engineering and carbon removal research/scaling up immediately. Maybe China already is? And of course we must stop burning oil, gas and coal as soon as humanly possible. Will we? I really don’t know.

RIP Elizabeth Boatman, my amazing, incredibly funny, witty, nerdy, brilliant Aunt. She always made everything so much fun and I cannot remember her ever not laughing. She was quick and hilarious, she cared for others deeply and always believed in fighting for a greater good. Losing her is shocking 😒

I am becoming more and more convinced that Trump and Musk's subservience to Putin is going to become increasingly untenable. As Europe galvanizes in support of Ukraine sans the US, Republicans will be forced to reconcile this quandary and American citizens are, correctly, not aligned with Putinism πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

Though desperate for a franchise center, I believe it is wise of the #Lakers to hold on to Dalton Knecht. He can do it all offensively - his jumper is WET and he can catch lobs with ease. Attaining Mark Williams was the correct idea, but the price too costly given his downside risk. Onto the next. πŸ€
