Don't want to downplay the Brewers being absolutely elite at driving up pitch counts and exhausting bullpens - it's been the story of the post-season. But the Rays have panicked their way to making this game way closer than it had any business being. Coaches (and players) need to be way better.

Don't know if it's the Roku app or what, but this is the third ESPN NBA broadcast I've watched this year, and they've all looked like shit. Like somebody turned the brightness up past full blast and smeared butter on every camera lens.

it should be like when someone stiffs a contractor -- tear down the electrical poles, shut down the streets around the house, no more garbage pickup, cops and fire dont respond there

“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?” Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

Turns out it was also pretty funny to watch this exact scenario unfold against the Brewers in Game 3 of the NLCS.

I am now realizing there is a path to the absolute funniest World Series moment in all of history: Dave Roberts leaving Blake Snell in too long against the Rays in Game 6 and blowing the series entirely

Followed immediately by Dave burning De Paula just to get the lefty-righty matchup with Kiké, and killing what could have been a much bigger inning. Playoff baseball!

I can make a case that the #Cubs win 2-3 of the last 4 NL Central titles if they’re good at this, instead of quite bad at it—and if the #Brewers are anything but elite at it, which they are.

One of the most underrated organizational competencies in the league right now is the ability to bring a player in and keep them good or make them better, but absolutely avoid making them worse. To communicate new ideas/options to them without force-fitting them into your mold.

Mets fans watching Peralta tonight

Game's not over, but an Ashby in a Brewers uni sticking it to the Padres in 2026 feels like a worthy successor to a Gwynn in a Brewers uni skewering the Padres in 2007.

Didn't think "all these people are documented sex pests who target children" needed to be spelled out, but yeah. That's it. That's the connection.

I said it the other day, but it's not just that the Padres feel a batter or two behind making a decision. The Brewers are both ready to apply the extra pressure, and able to wear down Padres pitchers so they're constantly working from behind the eight ball.

Substituting Taylor to pinch run, having him work station-to-station instead of being aggressive and in a position to score on the Hays flyout, and then having him replace Tatis in RF the next half-inning is just weird managing. It's saying you're taking a risk without taking the actual risk.

Look, I'm not greedy. But I will stand for either a Padres World Series championship or this; no other outcome.
