I've updated the GIF picker on desktop and mobile to load GIFs faster, using newer formats! we now prefer WebP over raw GIF and WebM over MP4. we've seen dramatic improvements to loading speeds and bandwidth usage from this change!

If you're curious how I got my handle, I have a wildcard DNS record for *.pnly.io with my AtProto ID. This means I can make my handle literally.anything.i.want.at.any.time.pnly(.)io You can do this too, getting a domain on CF costs maybe $20/year. Not bad for infinite handles.

yesterday we increased the pin limit from 50 to 250, everywhere! this has been in the works for a long time and I'm glad that it's finally shipped - no more need to carefully decide which memes to unpin in the group chat!

- I thought it was my ISP โ€” but none else reported issues on my ISP - LTE also didn't work - *turns off VPN* - LTE and WIFI works ???? - ping 1.1.1.1 fails - ping 8.8.8.8 works - oh of course it is DNS

I've been so surprised! Just only by tweaking the npm alias in my day-job project, We were able to build with rolldown-vite. I didn't touch vite.config at all. ๐Ÿš€ Build performance has been between 4.4x and 8x faster than the existing vite version!
