My partner told me this morning that she wants us to get an FDM 3d printer. (My old FDM printers were given away in the move & I only brought my resin printer which will require creative thinking to get up & running safely.) I have been researching printers all day today & just came up for air.

Had a rough conversation with my dad today and then I played some more God of War Ragnarok. This was not an ideal series of events.

Got to live the dream today. Whittled an opponent to 1 life while they had a Phyrexian Arena on the battlefield. Hitting the "End Turn" button felt goooood.😂

Started to watch the In Memoriam stuff from last night's Emmys and had to nope out quick. Hearing Macaulay get that wavering voice talking about Catherine O'Hara broke straight through what little defense I got. Have to wait until I can get all weepy and not have to go to sleep right after.

I love this. I have so many ideas.

Spent the majority of my day tinkering with OBS and my camera/audio gear. Been almost two years since I've spent a day doing that. Felt good. Let's see if anything comes of it.😜

I’ve been working with my tech equipment for streaming and video recording and MY GOD it’s so much easier to deal with audio when you have a treated studio. Though coming from voice acting I’ll admit that I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to audio quality. Got to work with what I got.

Just about at the 30 day mark of my MTG Arena journey. Going strong. Building up a nice little pile of coins. Averaging about 1000 per day. Almost used 25,000 of them to buy the stain glass Dominaria United lands on the store today. Held firm. I'm enjoying the journey.

I have successfully kept myself from making a poor financial decision in relation to tech gear. It is a thing I want. I don’t NEED it (yet…but I will…eventually…to replace/upgrade my current gear). But I stopped myself from spending the money now when I really should wait. Please clap.

Also would like to point out that the art in Reality Fracture has been pure fire. We got Escher type stuff on one end and then we got amazing stuff like this on the other. I'm LOVING the art.

Finally caught up on all the FRA story thus far. I'm really enjoying them. I also have high hopes for next week. There is one thing I hope happens that this story teased, but we'll see. And that part when she handed that over and... Damn.

There does come a point where I just stopped caring about the new shiny. It’s done wonders for my bank account. I still miss the old days though. A bit of joy has been sucked out of the game. So I have to find that elsewhere in this hobby.

Okay, I watched a tutorial and I maybe don't hate Final Cut Pro anymore... I'm learning.

Another school year begins!

Had a good day culinarily speaking. Made French toast this morning from a brioche loaf that turned out wonderfully. Even my extremely picky eater had some and enjoyed it. Then at dinner I made garlic marinated chicken breast and corn on the cob. Nailed the doneness of the chicken. Damn good day.

Only missed a day or two so far. Decided to get the mastery pass for the Hobbit. I think it’s fair that the only cash I’ll spend is on the pass for each set to get the extras. It’s kinda worth it for the packs alone. Built a Giada Brawl deck and it won its first game. Going well so far!

Giada deck is retooled and ready for battle. I think. I still need to pick up an Emeria, The Sky Ruins though. So when I say "ready for battle" I mean gentle taps with pool noodles.

Used to live in a mostly rural area, for many years I only had 1 game store to go to. Now I live in a city with dozens of game stores. 3 are within 2 miles of my home. 1 of them is actually a block away from me. I have a MUCH harder time buying singles and selling bulk now than I did before. WHY!?

What. The fuck. This week has been brutal Third day in a row I’ve woken up to a big part of my childhood passing away. RIP to another legend.

When they announced the Magic30 product, it was the biggest mental whiplash I've experienced. I went from incredibly excited to extremely disappointed when the price was announced. The Zeta set has had a similar, if not as intense, feeling of whiplash. I love the product, hate the price.

I just spent an hour trying to figure out how to get my two children, who are both physically together in the same space, connect across platform so they can play virtually on Minecraft. I get it. I asked my dad to do similar stuff. It's just amusing to me how much we've complicated life.

One last thing before I go to bed. I freaking love this art. I can’t quite explain it but it just resonates with me for some reason. It’s pieces like this that remind me how much I love art and the art of this game so much.

Decided to try and do the dailies on MTG Arena and see how long I can stick with it. Want to see how long I can build up a little pile of gold so I don't have to spend actual cash if possible. Let's see how long this lasts. PS. Ropers suck.

It's honestly so crazy to me that we're facing a technological revolution that could displace millions of jobs in the middle of a housing affordability crisis and every day we talk about whether a trans woman is playing sports or if someone has a non-Anglo name.

On one hand I appreciate Apple releasing Ted Lasso weekly. Prolonging the enjoyment for as long as possible. On the other hand, INEEDMOREINJECTTHATSHITINTOMYVEINSOMYGOD! I want to binge it all at once but I never want it to end. I just need some happy in the world is all I'm saying.
