“The NBA has reached deals with Kalshi and Polymarket to make them the league's preferred prediction markets partners…” Oh, is that what we’re calling them now? “Prediction markets partners”? It sounds so innocent, business-like, totally above board and nothing to see here. Sheesh.

THIS!

It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.

When Democrats do well this fall, we’re going to see a lot of “strategists” trying to take credit for their approach. The trans panic people have been nothing but a drag on Democratic momentum and they need to fuck off into the sun

That is very kind of you. Let's try another quote and see if it goes viral! Uh... "Goats are just the impacted tooth of the animal world." Hmm. Not sure that's going to catch on, really. :)

Fantastic story!

Now is the time to care about everyone, not “once we win” The time to care about everyone is always always always now

DOKOUPIL: A poll found that corruption was the number 1 issue on voters' minds, even more than gas prices. Have you seen anything inside the White House when it comes to corruption that makes you squeamish? JD VANCE: I've never seen anything like that from the president

Republican politicians are *obsessed* with schoolchildren coming home a different gender because of pro-trans teachers, WHICH NEVER HAPPENS. But they are completely indifferent to schoolchildren not coming home *at all* because of guns, WHICH HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!

The US knows Ukrainian air defense relies on US early detection of Russian launches. Without telling Ukraine, the Trump White House (and Elon Musk's SpaceX) withheld that info and hindered countermeasures. The US just facilitated a Russian attack on Ukraine, making it more effective and deadlier.

“If we’re going to replace Chris Columbus Day, it should be to honor someone like Kris Kobach for discovering rampant voter fraud despite obstacles like not having any actual evidence and being reprimanded by a federal judge for violating the Constitution.”

To make Election Day a holiday is nothing more than a disgusting political ploy—unlike Columbus Day, which is a beautiful tribute to a brave explorer who discovered the New World despite indigenous bubble-dwelling naysayers who claimed that they had been living there for centuries. buff.ly/6OYahnR

No longer pretending.

Put differently, Trump's options in the Iran War used to be humiliation or escalation; now, they are humiliation, escalation, or escalation-by-others-adding-to-his-humiliation

This guy. This fucking guy.

Trump: "This guy, I call him Mohammed El-Fayad. Some people call him Abdul. I call him Mohammed. Somebody said, 'why?' I said, I don't know. I feel like it."

This is enraging and disheartening. But not surprising. No. Not even a little surprising.
