The Mineru's Construct amiibo is *finally* here, and the thing I want to do with it most is to make attachments for its arms and back. This looks specifically made for 3D printed accessories! I'm thinking a Luminous Talus Heart and a Spiked Metal ball for the arms, and a Zonai Fan for the back.

My typical medium for this would be polymer clay, but I worry that'll be too heavy for the arms to stay posed. I don't have any experience with 3D modeling, so that would be its own learning experience. I can't believe I'm the only person thinking of this, though, so eventually someone will do it.

I wasn't aware of this particular restriction on Virtual Game Card lending. I was trying to lend one of my digital games to my nephew's account to test out lending. He's in my Family Group, but my kids' accounts are in a different group (they don't need NSO).

This restriction is unfortunately going to stop me from receiving any game loans, since it's not worth removing my kids' accounts from my Switch 2. VGC lending sounds like a great feature in theory, but in practice it's just easier to sign my account into multiple consoles, including my nephew's.

They have to play as the account owner's account, but at least it works. This just doesn't work.

I initially installed these transparent replacement cases with colored arrow buttons in the wrong places: the red and green were swapped in the left Joy-Con. Now that it's fixed, the color schemes match in horizontal orientation. The right Joy-Con matches the old SNES color layout when vertical.

Splatoon Raiders is mostly single player with the option for other players to join you co-op online. That sounds cool, but I'm not sure how engaging it will be. I want to wait to try it and see reviews. I'm also not a fan of the jibber-jabber dialogue noise or in general the music & sound design.

Still, with a single player focus I think Nintendo knows how to make a fun experience. The reviews will hopefully reveal whether it's something for me or not.

I don't usually do online matches, which is what most of Splatoon was until now. I played a little of the Splatoon 2 single player DLC recently, since this included in NSO and I picked up the cartridge for $10 on eBay. I have been enjoying the online matches for Star Fox though.

I decided to get Halo: Campaign Evolved for PS5, and to get it physically, per my typical practice for single player games. I was debating digital, since I have a bunch of PS gift card balance. But it's Halo, and something about owning a PlayStation Halo disc is poetic. Plus, screw Sony's cutoff.

Sony is intentionally misleading when they say that consumers overwhelmingly prefer digital. For games released on disc, the split is much more even. I prefer digital for some types of games, but the very presence of a used market as an option is essential for a competitive console game market.

I'm not interested in buying into a closed platform with *zero* used game market. At least with PC it's an open platform and different game stores compete for your business. I have a feeling I'm not alone in this, so I don't expect to miss out on many PS6 exclusive games that don't go to PC.

Working my way through Expert mode in #StarFox for #NintendoSwitch2. This was my run including Titania. I did get the medal in Sector X the first time, but then I replayed it to let Slippy get swatted by the robot.

The only Expert medal I'm missing now is Venom 2. On my upper run I ran out of lives against Star Wolf. It's tough keeping everyone safe and making sure you get all 4 kills, while also not being shot down it crashing into things.
