See now we're fucking talking One of the only weapons we wield in this fight is our money and attendance, and if everyone involved with an event says "I'm not going unless you stop using AI" there's only two outcomes: *No AI or No Convention* Conventions are made by and for the community

& they want to put a big LED Vegas sphere at the harbor that’ll be visible to drivers on the beltway Now the person in front of you is distracted trying to merge while looking at a sports betting ad 😭

EVERYTHING goes into my calendar. Small events, big events, weekly/bi-weekly appointments, date nights, errands, reminders to call someone, etc. I’ll add a notification or two if necessary. If it’s out of sight, it’s out of mind.

It’s clear that life with ADHD can be a real challenge. What are some small adjustments, hacks, or practices you have found helpful in managing some of your ADHD symptoms (when you remember to do them 😅 lol)? You never know, you might help someone else struggling with the same thing! 😊

Doesn’t even have to be something expensive or lavish, a little “this reminded me of you” or “I thought you’d like this” type of gift means a lot.

Randomly bumped into that young dude that’s been documenting his visits to different DC metro stops. Pretty chill guy, it’s dope seeing someone at that age passionate about learning local black history!

One of the biggest culprits are cloverleaf interchanges. Highway designers went buckwild with these early on; traffic backs up heavily bc weaving in and out of the shared merge area, just chaos all around.

Not defending them, but quite a few cities have roadways that are VERY poorly and dangerously designed. Rather than having merge lanes that remain their own lane for several yards, a lot of cities have what I call "merge or die" lanes. Hard to navigate smoothly due to everyone speeding. EVERYONE.

it took me a long time to unlearn apologizing for things i liked. i think just about every interest i ever had (in youth) was met by one person or another with "ew," "why," or "that's gay," up to and including choice of drink. irony poisoning is everywhere and it's basically living death

Also helps that DC’s street grid is designed in such a way that you shouldn’t get lost knowing what quadrant you’re in. Outside of the city it’s knowing the major route/exit numbers and going from there
