i have GOT to start a weird, one-sided parasocial beef with someone today

some of the most insane crit i've ever gotten was this dude going "idk how anyone likes kbash as a person" bc i didn't give a long, thorough breakdown of every char in mass effect. my good dipshit. that would've pumped the time to 6+ hours and eaten my entire ass-end of 2024. scope!

setting aside that the vid was focused on different things - primarily mechanics and play experience, but that's how it goes

playing madworld. i didn't know you could say those words. good heavens

crazy how madworld predates "________ if it was written by vivziepop"

Repostin' one last time, but go check out my new game! It's about having a bad time trying to do (relatively) simple things!

As promised, a new one page game! This time it's a solo micro-RPG about the stress of trying to get something done, and failing to do so, mostly because you're mind and body just won't let you. mdevillar.itch.io/did-you-do-it

It's spooky season, here's my hat in the ring for twenty of your precious minutes. Last Report is sort of a Lovecraftian "Papers, Please!", and I think it's well worth your time. youtu.be/mv5RbGU4Krw

it took me a long time to unlearn apologizing for things i liked. i think just about every interest i ever had (in youth) was met by one person or another with "ew," "why," or "that's gay," up to and including choice of drink. irony poisoning is everywhere and it's basically living death

even in 2026 i'll say i like xyz musical or something and get the instant [they didn't like that] reaction and i guess that never goes away. being genuine is hard bc most people lead with the differences instead of interest or understanding. sad!!

PATHETIC

you'll never guess whose hairs are coating this cheaply made turtleneck

once you realize some folks get legitimately irritated by voices and faces you can safely ignore most bizarro interactions you have

not to mention not hydrating or eating or whatever. sad!

A key point in Fahrenheit 451 is that books were banned because they made people depressed and uncomfortable. The novel's protagonist, Montag, is taken into custody after he reads a poem that makes a woman cry because she realizes the emptiness of her life.

[NEW VIDEO] Dragon Quest IV flipped the script for narrative games. The main hero skips out on 1/3 of it, while the rest of the cast goes about their own journies before converging. The NES version also took a huge leap forward for programming... but we're on DS today :) youtu.be/ao-d2BpLDh4

lmao blizzard. the main thrust of that old and rough video on WoW was that moving on from deliberate stagnancy improved my life and I keep feeling vindicated

stephen sondheim did musical theatre, but he's v useful for artists in general. like "ah yes, someone else knows the feeling"

speaking of, he considered pivoting to other kinds of creation after Merrily We Roll Along flopped, including video games. It's now big enough that Daniel Radcliffe starred in one production

persona fan 1: persona is a VIDEO GAME persona fan 2: persona is NOT a game. don't ever say that

i kind of love reading stuff like "idk how anyone likes this guy." they know what the others don't. soon my designs will come to fruition and writhing black dread will paint the sky
