In looking up this intro, I discovered there was a Mork & Mindy cartoon that no one ever talks about. It's always Fonzie in space, or Laverne & Shirley in the army with Horshack as their pig drill Sgt.! Robin Williams in cartoon form a decade before Aladdin and everyone is silent!

Dana Carvey used to do a bit about how ridiculous being famous is. You take an orange, put it on public access for a month, then set up a "meet and greet" at the local mall, and people will walk past and whisper "it's that orange from TV!"
