I know there's a lot going on but I feel it should probably be more of an above-the-fold story that members of Congress released a thoroughly documented report directly accusing the president of the United States of being a serial rapist.

Since it's plumbing repair weekend, apparently, I decided to deal with the leaky downstairs toilet. I'm hoping that just replacing the valve seal does the trick, but only time will tell if I hear it randomly refilling itself, but given that this is what the old seal looks like, I'm hopeful.

Well, normally it would have had to refill itself a couple of times in the past few hours and the tank was still full just now, so I guess that's a win.

Trying to figure out why my hips hurt today then remembering that I spent a bunch of time lying on my sides on the kitchen floor yesterday.

shitload of P-traps lying around from various attempts at putting in replacements on other sinks in the house, so I figured I probably had what I needed to do it on hand. I did it today. All it took was some sanity, the use of a hacksaw, some blood - not from the hacksaw - and a lot of swearing.

I hate this phenomenon from the perspective of "Stop giving him ideas." Reporters ask him because they know he'll give them an answer like this which they can write about. Easy layup. Meanwhile, it probably never would have occurred to him to eat the baby. But now that you mention it...

One time my brother picked this when we were renting movies. He liked Bill Murray, so he figured it'd be the standard fare a la STRIPES or GHOSTBUSTERS. We did not enjoy it. I don't think we even finished watching it. We instituted a moratorium on my brother getting to pick anything.

It became the standard against which we judged (what we considered) bad movies. Like, "Well, at least it isn't WHERE THE BUFFALO ROAM." Unfair? Probably. Would I like it more now that I'm not 12 and have a better understanding of the material? No idea. But that's what it'll always make me think of.
