Another capstone group at my school is making smth for our school that has accessibility requirements. They, of course make a popup to increase and decrease font size (browser don't do this, fun fact). Only issue is the popup (div, ofc) has no semantics and is not accessible. lol.

Went to a conference and my team got first in both a programming competition and a capture the flag. Glad my last time going ended well :3

Also for the CTF our team name was the unicode LTR override character so every message about our team was printed backwards lol

I think having to deal with the LTI spec and every LMS slightly breaking it is what's finally gonna break me. I already have to fork the openidconnect crate because the LTI spec just kinda goes "uhhhh but not THAT part lol!" 😭

Hi, my name's Moodle! My background consists of breaking spec and serializing `null` as an empty string.

We just announced the winners of our 6th Outer Wilds community mod jam! Thank you to everyone who created a mod and to those who donated to the prize pool!

(how do i say this in the nicest way possible) if ur in a senior level computer science class we should probably know git right? right?!?!?!?!??!?!?

Every technical service I know tries to schedule maintenance in like the middle of the night or when no one is using it. And then utility companies rly just be shutting off your water for maintenance at 10 in the morning with one day's notice.

Replying to @vringar.de

why is every piece of software I end up using problematic media

The themes for the 6th mod jam are Past and Future! The restriction is Time Loop! To follow the restriction you must use the time loop as a mechanic in your mod in some way. Will you have time-specific events, puzzles that take place over multiple loops, or some other third thing? That's up to you!

How does the DUO admin panel not have a feature to see when an auth method was added!! That's like.... important!!!!1

Secure boot is a cool concept that is flawed by the trusted binaries including UEFI made by your motherboard vendor, Microsoft code, and a GNU project; none of which can be trusted to do anything right ever

I go to Manjaro University 2 (our cert doesn't list its intermediates and stuff is failing still)

I forgor Windows (Powershell Out-File) is UTF-16 land and ofc Intune AutoPilot expects CSVs to be UTF-8 💔

Grok users know a lot about MAPs I bet

Jake Gold@jacob.gold

When you run coding agents you're implicitly trusting your MAP (model + agent + provider) stack not to hack your computer or steal your data/code. Sandboxes help a lot with reducing potential damage but aren't actually a complete solution either. Choose your vendors wisely my friends!

To celebrate DELTARUNE chapter 5, Toby Fox has summoned seven suns (that's why it's so hot out). I'm dying

People want a conspiracy SO BAD. One time someone claimed my mod manager was "playing ads in the background" and it was a virus. ...They had a yt video open in their Steam overlay and didn't notice it was playing.

Plasma 6.7 is out! You can look forward to easier menu customization, better control over your mics, and, as for virtual desktops, you get keyboard navigation and the much anticipated feature of having separate virtual desktops on different monitors. kde.org/announcement... #Plasma6 #desktop

Sir / Madam you are being notified that we have been found you to be harboring a code base that is not written in Rust. An AI agent will be assigned to you immediately to ensure this code base is assimilated. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
