So "Crystal Lake" (the Friday the 13th prequel show) was bulk released on Peacock, which got all 8 episodes at once. But in Japan, it's releasing on U-NEXT week-by-week, and we only get one episode so far.

I'm sure this is not the first time this kind of thing has happened, but it's the first time it affected ME personally. Anyway I'm watching the Jason show, so you may want to mute me for a while.

If someone bothers to assert publicly that a given movie is NOT a horror movie, or "not REALLY" a horror movie, or "not a TYPICAL" horror movie then I absolutely guarantee you that it is a horror movie. No question. Ten times out of ten. This is like a very specific corollary of Betteridge's law.

"It wasn't scary!" Ok, that might be true, but you still enjoyed watching a horror movie. If that's confounding you then you're gonna have to work through it on your own time. We don't need to keep having this identical conversation every time A24 puts out a theatrical release.

Today was exciting

The Japan Meteorological Agency withdrew an earthquake early warning issued Friday afternoon after initially forecasting what would have been the strongest earthquake in history. 👉 ebx.sh/aWsuQ6

This was a masterpiece and I hope that Zach Cregger is allowed to do whatever the hell he wants forever, even long after I get tired of it

Back at the theater again for a re-release. I know the more cynical folks out there just write this stuff off, but to be honest when something claims the title of highest grossing movie of all time, that DOES mean something, and it deserves to be engaged with in good faith and with an open mind!

Holy shit, this explains everything Guys, you don't understand, this has been driving me fucking CRAZY

I wrote a post explaining exactly why the Dreamcast will prompt you for the date/time even with a healthy battery, which has puzzled many of us for years! It's not your battery: the Dreamcast's hidden 30-day clock check dreamcast-talk.com/forum/viewto...

You intend to buy two Doctors Pepper today. You have no special knowledge about this machine. Is your strategy: A. Left button twice B. Right button twice C. Left first, then right D. Right first, then left

Apparently TV Malaysia had a show called Candid Gamera "We thought It would be funny to give Kenny a giant radioactive turtle" (Sadly I think it's a misprint)

I saw this on film a while back, but it's been long enough that I'll definitely go to this. MOREOVER, if there's a 4K scan now maybe it'll finally get a decent home video release...

My sneakers recently hit their breaking point and I tried buying SLIGHTLY cheaper, SLIGHTLY less name-brand shoes than the already very inexpensive shoes I usually wear, and friends, that was a mistake

One of my favorite things about lain is that it really speaks to my deeply held belief that if you accumulate enough junk in your room you will eventually become superhuman

I don't necessarily think I would be GOOD at being a high school student in 1992 Japan but I think I could probably make it through a year without...like...dying

Ocarina of Time is mostly about the differences between childhood and manhood, which mainly that boils down to having three pairs of shoes that you have to cycle through regularly instead of one.
